When you normalize genocide and a decades-long military occupation, when you normalize the mass slaughter of children, assassinating journalists, bombing hospitals, and starving people, there are no norms left to protect.
And that was all before Trump. Until you can see the deeper issues of a system that allows its children to go hungry but always has money for war, until you can see the connections of how the brutality we normalize outside our borders comes back home, things will only get worse.
A political and media class that aids and supports horrific violence against innocents across the world, will not hesitate to turn it against their own.
