MEDIA - Mississippi State University will conduct a routine test of the Maroon Alert Emergency Notification System today [Jan. 30] at noon.
MSU-Meridian will conduct an additional test for its campus at 1 p.m.
This test is vital in ensuring the university can share important information with faculty, staff, students and the community in a timely manner.

MSU President Mark and Rhonda Keenum welcomed SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey and University of Georgia President Jere Morehead to Davis Wade Stadium this morning. Morehead has served as UGA’s leader since 2013.
MSU President Mark Keenum was proud to welcome a very special guest back to the MSU President’s Office today. Former MSU President J. Charles Lee, now of Virginia, returned to campus and will attend the MSU-UGA football game tomorrow. Lee was MSU’s president from 2002 until 2006.

Starkville Rotarians enjoyed a free-wheeling speech from MSU Men’s Head Basketball Coach Chris Jans today. In each of his first three seasons at State, Jans led the Bulldogs to at least 21 wins and berths in the NCAA tournament.
MSU President Mark Keenum and Starkville Oktibbeha County Consolidated School District Supt. Tony McGee signed a memorandum of understanding today at the Partnership Middle School. The MOU commits the entities to work together to build a new Starkville H.S. on the MSU campus.
