Predoctoral fellow at VIB-UGent Center for Plant Systems Biology (Inter-organelle stress signaling) 🌱 Passionate about plant pathogens and their effectors! 🦠
Grateful to have been able to introduce such an enthusiastic group of people into proteomics at our BePA@VIB Proteomics Summerschool! Hope to see you all again in the future!😎😃 #BepaaaaaSmile#proteomics#BepaSS2024
37 Nobel Laureates & nearly 1,500 Scientists call on MEPs to support New Genomic Techniques (#NGTs).
NGTs give farmers access to new drought-tolerant & nitrogen-efficient crops, helping to produce food more at lower environmental cost.

VACANCY Together with the Inge De Clercq lab @InorgssLab we have a funded position for a postdoctoral researcher to study nature's genetic engineer, Agrobacterium tumefaciens. @PSB_VIB More info: https://t.co/cG8tJh583r
Last week there was the #PSBmeets23 at the Bijloke (Ghent). So many great talks about exciting and ongoing research @PSB_VIB!
This time I was also present on stage together with my colleague Jonas De Backer to represent our group @InorgssLab 🦠🌱

Thank you @SielGoethals for the kind comments 🙏
Looking back at #TRIC23 and ahead to the future of agriculture | VIB Conferences https://t.co/XTSht9LIHx
Sustainability in agriculture... Do you think that beneficial microbes might help us in this? 🌾🦠During the talk of @gilesedoldroyd from @CropSciCentre at #TRIC23 we learn that they can indeed!
More plant-microbe interactions at #TRIC23, but now with a focus on the "good" guys. Maria Harrison from @BTIscience studies arbuscular mycorrhiza and how they can help the plant with phosphate acquisition.
Currently, #TRIC23 is diving into abiotic plant stresses. @HildeNelissen from @PSB_VIB talks about drought and gives a beautiful example of how research from the model plant, Arabidopsis 🌱, can be translated into a crop, maize🌽, and finally can be used in the field 👩🌾.
The first day of #TRIC23 is almost coming to an end and I know I might be a bit biased, but "yes, more phytopathology"! @KamounLab from @TheSainsburyLab will tell us more about how to trick a plant pathogen 🤡
Want to know more about the network of plant receptor that play a pivotal role in plant immunity, then the following article might be of great interest: https://t.co/rtxPwZH0O8
We've arrived at the last session of the day at #TRIC23, how do crops cope with biotic stress? 🦠🐛🍄 Let's talk strawberries 🍓, or even more interesting their interaction with B. cinerea with @BarbaraConinck from @LeuvenPlantInst
