There are multiple Hoovervilles around every city in America. They're just referred to as "Tent Cities" now. The only reason they don't get structures like this as much is because of regular homeless sweeps where cops go in, wreck them, and throw away their only belongings.

As a retail worker, I love the idea of a general strike, but it literally means nothing if you all go shopping the next day. The day after the last one was hell for us, if you are going to sacrifice you need to actually sacrifice. Companies dont care if you purchase a day later.
