The Houthi terrorists have badly damaged trade in the Suez Canal and the China led BRI corridor has proven very damaging to its partners Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh all in turmoil and defaulting on loans. IMEC promises to be a more equal partnership and a far shorter and more efficient route for cargo and Data.
