#MondayMotivation: Louisville, I truly love you.
I woke up triple-booked this evening, and while my team and I work that out, I want to share what’s on my mind.

So many of you have sent me examples of decisions, corruption and actions by Mayor Greenberg and his administration that concern you. You want me to speak up, and I’m doing my best to carry those concerns forward. I also know that criticism of a public official can be twisted into something it isn’t especially for me and my team. My concerns are about decisions, accountability, and whose interests Metro government serves, not anyone’s faith or identity. I am not anti-semitic, violent, nor do I hate Greenberg. He is not the mayor Louisville deserves. He is playing us all equally by overpromising and underdelivering.

There are powerful interests working to protect the way things are, and they like Greenberg because he only works for them. They’re trying to make people afraid of the people power we’re building. But nobody on my team, in LDSA, or across this county is asking for more hyperscale data centers, flock cameras, more boutique hotels, or less investment in our neighborhoods. People are asking for a seat at the table and a real voice in decisions that affect their lives.

At the doors, people are asking for grocery stores, better TARC service, climate action, protection from the next weather disaster, affordability and a Metro government that represents the people who fund it with their tax dollars.
I have no problem with people using their own money to build what they want. But public dollars and tax incentives must serve the public, and the benefits must reach every community and not just Greenbergs' rich friends and pet projects. Black-owned businesses, faith-led organizations, local contractors, and community groups doing essential work deserve a fair opportunity and the resources to keep serving our people.
For nearly a year, my team and I have put our time, money, energy, and hearts into showing #Louisville that we have another choice for mayor. We’re not making promises just to win an election. I’m ready to work to make Metro government function for every neighborhood, every community, and every ZIP code, regardless of what’s in your bank account.
But I can’t do it alone. We’re just over a week away from an opportunity to move Louisville in a better direction. If you want more of the same, you have a choice. If you want a city that listens and invests in its people, you have a choice too: Shameka Parrish-Wright for mayor.
