π΄ββ οΈX marks the spot!
@NASAWebb captured this infrared image of a feature in part of the Carina Nebula called the βTreasure Chest.β It is an object known as a cometary globule, or an isolated cloud of gas and dust with a dense, dark head and a sweeping tail.
The universe is full of weird juxtapositions. This colorful image, for example, shows sites of new star formation AND a shattered star. The upper portion is full of newly forming stars while the stellar leftovers are the small blue blob in the lower left. #MondayMotivation
