@misraetel I’d say this is not true at all. Most internal conversation is so fast-moving and inarticulate that it can’t be captured in speech, much less in writing. And 99% of people aren’t sharing anything near their most unfiltered internal conversations with an LLM.
@willwparkinson@bronzeagemantis I thought the Nikki character was plausibly gen z but not Bear, the actor’s mannerisms struck me as distinctly millennial. It should’ve been a younger actor imo
@avidseries It's bizarre only if you assume that quantitative contribution to the US is what Americans favor. Envy and anger at ethnic favoritism should be at the top of your list. People favor high-performing immigration if and only if it doesn't interfere with their own status.
@oldbooksguy@SJ_Murray The conclusion most draw from these types of historical parallels (attention spans, manners, etc) is that every generation warns of it so it’s not to be worried about.
The alternative conclusion is that they were correct every time; there’s just no floor to how bad it can get.
@dhh Most news sites have tanked their own signal to noise ratio by tweeting literally every article they publish. This was happening well before the increased link suppression.
