We were honoured to host Mr Yohei Sasakawa, Patron of @SILFIndia, Gandhi Peace Prize awardee and WHO Goodwill Ambassador for Leprosy Elimination, at an interaction hosted by Shri Baijayant Panda, Member of Parliament, GoI.

The gathering brought together Members of Parliament and eminent scientists for a conversation on Bharat’s progress in leprosy elimination and new avenues for global collaboration.

Decades of sustained effort, from policy to science to community action, have brought us closer to a leprosy-free India. Conversations like this one strengthen the partnerships needed to finish the job and to ensure that people affected by Leprosy live with dignity and equal opportunity.
