The joy of osmosis βΊοΈ
@woodside_school a great joy is a child running up to tell me their own nature discoveries - as simple as seeing a bee in a flower, or last week one lad describing a black, green & white bird he'd seen (magpie π) @NatureScot#naturepassion#giveopportunity

Spring @woodside_school Wee Forest π @NatureScot
P1 watched as a queen wasp emerged from the ground, youngsters have wondered at all the bonny tree flowers and leaf buds bursting open...joy x
P2 and P3 @woodside_school found signs of spring in the Wee Forest today - which prompted reflective questions - Why does this tree have white spots? Why does this tree have opposite buds and this one has alternate (dancing buds)? #enquiry#discovery#connection@NatureScot
What a fantastic bunch of young folk @woodside_school P7 yesterday and @UK_Treescapes Gardening Group today have shifted a bunch of hedge trees that were under threat of damage. Thank you so much all of you for your hard graft, much appreciated π

Earth was hard as iron so P3 @woodside_school had a bird migration story indoors, then came out to the wee forest with apple food for hungry feathered friends, followed by a run-seek-find animal game, followed by excellent sliding downhill π @NatureScot
@woodside_school gardeners visited Earth & Worms community garden - Lucy showed us the planters, compost and greenhouse area - pupils asked many questions. They're keen to do more environmental care at school - here's yesterday's bulb plant, just in time π with @UK_Treescapes
