@_sallyxl8 @AnabelMR2 In my opinion, I think they are. I personally wish that I could have gone to a bilingual school, since I have some friends that did go to one, and they had a really high level of English by the age of 16. Learning languages when we are kids is really important. #xl8debate
@Heysxlo @MiriamUAH I personally think that when speaking Spanish, we should try to use anglicisms as little as possible. We should not forget that our language has already words for those terms, but we just think it sounds cooler in English, when actually Spanish is a gorgeous language! #xl8debate
And of course, it has been a great way to improve my English and learn new words, rather than writing a "Learning Log" that I wasn't really paying attention to while doing it. #xl8opinion
Really interesting to see how we make languages evolve to make it inclusive and gender friendly, but it is also a really polemic topic nowadays in the Royal Spanish Academy... Will we all finally agree on this topic? #xl8news https://t.co/XN8s7jzCDI
Really sad after reading this. It should be mandatory to have access to an interpreter when you are arrested, that way we would avoid wrongful arrests and terrible experiences. #xl8news https://t.co/DRPKsLMEyc
Amazing how Oaxacan youths are making efforts to keep alive these indigenous languages by playing sports like pelota mixteca! Feels amazing to read that young people are fighting to keep their culture. #xl8news https://t.co/q5pVd8VIID
It's really important to be aware of all the meanings a word has before translating it and it is also really interesting to learn about new meanings of a word we already knew! What do you think? @_sallyxl8 #xl8news https://t.co/Fv2Nw371XB
It is really important to have multilingual health information not only in Germany but throughout the world so that everyone has access to health info no matter what language they speak. #xl8assoc https://t.co/f2cErYmVFN
It is great that now we can have the opportunity to recognize exceptional books that are written anywhere in the world thanks to this new prize! #xl8assoc https://t.co/9kfNSVJaro
@Heysxlo I totally agree! That way people can learn a lot of new vocabulary and get used to hearing another language. Plus movies are way better in original version :)
People tend to underestimate translators when we actually make business between countries work... we should start looking at ourselves and think about how important and relevant our job is! #xl8assoc https://t.co/w3H78JfBlh

What happens in the UK for deaf children also happens everywhere in the world. And we are asking people to understand how Sign language opens the mind, and connects.
Thanks for this read @Limping_Chicken https://t.co/naQDsIqooD
Working collaboratively with other freelancers is awesome and it can indeed help us become better and more successful and of course, happier translators!! https://t.co/W0icoycr60
People often think the process of translation is "easy peasy" but it takes a lot of effort for the translator to really capture the essence of what the author wanted to say in a book and put it into words in another language. #xl8people https://t.co/2TBDdNg5K8
