Legacy of the Servant Leader: H.E. Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, 16 Years On
Today marks 16 years since our nation lost a dear hero, an icon of integrity, a selfless patriot, and a man I was privileged to call not just my boss, but my brother and worthy partner in service.
As I reflect on the passing of President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, I am reminded of the shared passion we both held for a Nigeria where justice is not a slogan, but a lived reality for every citizen.
Our partnership was anchored on a common vision: to build an inclusive, united, and just nation. Yar’Adua was a man of quiet but profound conviction who believed that the strength of a country is measured by its commitment to the rule of law and the sanctity of the ballot.
He did not just lead; he served with a humility that is rare in the corridors of power, often putting national stability above personal or political gain.
His record in peace-building stands as an enduring legacy. He understood that true nation-building requires the courage to admit flaws and the sincerity to fix them.
For leaders, the life of Umaru Musa Yar’Adua serves as an enduring lesson. His example teaches us that leadership is a sacred trust, and that progress is only sustainable when it is rooted in transparency, accountability, and a genuine love for the people.
Sixteen years later, his strides continue to testify for him. As we remember this "Gentleman President," let us rededicate ourselves to the worthy causes he pursued with such passion.
I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) continues to grant him eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus.

@ednyoka God as your child who is an orphan. I pray you send me a helper to pay up my school fees. I'm at the verge of dropping out of school. Let my life and that of my siblings, turn around for good. Please God, hear my cry!🙏
This girl don put her mother into pain and tragedy💔👇:
This secondary school “pretty girl,” who was meant to be religious, responsible, and a good example to her younger siblings, was allegedly seen with a few boys after school, smoking hard drugs while recording it and posting it online.
Later that evening, around 6–7 PM, her family, friends, and even school authorities began searching for her after realizing she hadn’t returned home. One of her friends reportedly mentioned that she had last seen her around 5 PM after school services, still at the school premises with some male friends.
By around 8 PM, worried relatives and others returned to the school with flashlights to continue the search.
Sadly, they reportedly found her lying unconscious on the ground. Her mother rushed to her side, trying desperately to wake her up, but it was said she had already passed away.
Moments later, the family was shown a video allegedly sent to her mother’s WhatsApp, where she was seen smoking excessively earlier that day.
A heartbreaking reminder that choices, peer pressure, and dangerous substances can destroy young lives in an instant.
A woman arrived in a store wearing clothes that showed her body all too well. The shop owner, being a wise older man, took a good look at her, asked her to sit down, looked straight into her eyes, and said something she would never forget for the rest of her life.
“Young Lady, everything that God has made valuable in this world, is covered up and hard to see or find."
For example:
1. Where can you find diamonds? In the ground, covered and protected.
2. Where are the pearls?
Deep in the ocean, covered and protected in a beautiful shell.
3. Where can you find gold?
Underground, covered with layers of rock, and to get there you have to work very hard and dig deep.
He looked at her again and said, "Your body is sacred and unique to God."
You are far more precious than gold, diamonds, and pearls, therefore you must be covered too.
He then added: "If you keep your precious minerals like gold, diamonds, and pearls deeply covered, a “reputable mining organization” with the necessary machines, will work for years to mine those precious goods.
* First, they will contact your government (family),
* Second, sign professional contracts (marriage),
* Third, they will professionally extract those goods, and tenderly refine those precious goods. (marital life).
But if you let your minerals find themselves on top of the Earth's surface (exposed to everyone), you will always attract many illegal miners to come, exploit, illegally, and freely take those riches and leave you without the precious goods God gave you!
