Twenty five years ago, Richard Burns achieved what every rally driver dreams of: becoming World Rally Champion, and in doing so, he secured a place in British motorsport history.
This week, fans at the sold out @fosgoodwood will see X20 SRT, the Subaru Impreza in which Richard secured the 2001 @OfficialWRC title.
The celebrations continue at Classic Nostalgia on 18 and 19 July, where Prodrive will mark the 25th anniversary of Richard's championship-winning season.
Alongside X20 SRT, visitors will be able to see the Subaru Impreza WRC99 Safari edition from Richard's 2000 campaign and hear from members of the original title winning team as they reunite to share their memories.
More importantly, it is a chance to remember the man behind the wheel.
Twenty five years on, Richard's achievement remains one of the defining moments in British rallying history.

🇬🇧 Ford RS200S Evolution

🇬🇧 2026 Goodwood Festival Of Speed
Steve Rimmer, the founder of the DirtFish Rally School, is a well-known rally enthusiast and collector who has owned and presented significant examples of the Ford RS200.
Notably, he has this RS200 EVO S (a very rare variant, with only about 24 built) at prestigious events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
This particular car, which is one of the few finished in blue, has been a centerpiece of his collection and is frequently showcased for its historical importance in the Group B era.
While the standard RS200 was already a formidable machine, the Evolution models featured a bored-out 2.1-liter version of the Cosworth BDT engine, upgraded suspension, and improved brakes.
Depending on the tune, these cars could produce 600bhp or more.
This car is at the festival this week.

The McLaren F1 remains one of the most iconic and significant vehicles in automotive history. Designed by Gordon Murray and Peter Stevens, it set a benchmark for supercar engineering that few have surpassed in terms of purity and driver focus.
It was the first production car to use a carbon-fiber-reinforced monocoque chassis. Notably, the engine bay was lined with gold foil to provide superior heat reflection.
Motorsport Success:
Despite being designed as the "ultimate" road car rather than a race car, the F1 GTR variant famously won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995 on its first attempt, finishing 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 13th.
Record Holder:
At its launch, it was the world’s fastest production car, a title it held for many years.
This beauty was spotted on the M25 Motorway today 🔥🔥
