Dear Cde. Shefu Dr. @paultungwarara,
I write again with deep respect and gratitude for your unwavering commitment to the Party and the Government. Your recent recognition and appreciation of 17 ZANU PF cadres and activists who toil daily in the trenches defending the Party and the Government is a noble gesture that strengthens morale and fortifies our collective resolve. These comrades are the lifeblood of our struggle, the vanguard who carry the message of progress into every corner of our nation.
Yet, I must humbly raise a matter of grave concern. Rutendo Matinyarare, who was generously capacitated by your hand with a 300 Series and US$200 000, continues to denigrate Party leadership, particularly targeting Dr. Kuda Tagwirei, a Central Committee Member. His persistent attacks are not isolated but they strike at the very heart of our movement, for an attack on any ZANU PF leader or Government Minister is invariably an attack on the President himself, the appointing authority.
It is imperative that Rutendo be counseled to cease and desist from this destructive path. If he cannot align himself with the Party’s ethos and respect its leadership, then the gifts bestowed upon him must be returned, for they were given in good faith to strengthen unity, not to embolden dissent. The resources he received could capacitate countless youths across all ten provinces who are steadfastly defending the Party without expectation of reward.
Furthermore, while we celebrate comrades who have been gifted cars, prudence demands that recognition be spread equitably. To repeatedly capacitate the same individuals risks demoralizing others who labor side by side, often with greater sacrifice. In the comments sections of social media platforms, I have observed both jubilation and murmurs of discontent. These sentiments, if left unattended, can fracture unity.
I therefore propose a systematic approach to recognition — one that ensures every cadre in the trenches has an opportunity to benefit from acts of generosity. This will preserve morale, strengthen unity and prevent divisions that arise from perceptions of favoritism. Our struggle is collective and our victories must be shared.
Cde Tungwarara, your leadership has always been marked by vision and fairness. I trust that you will continue to guide us in a manner that uplifts all cadres, fortifies our unity and protects the dignity of our leadership.
Your comradely,
MacDenias Moyo
ZANU PF Youth Cadre and Activist
