@YoDanno what i also liked about it was that it sort of meant that certain classes were more rare than others. less paladins and rangers than fighters, for example, which actually made sense. 2/2

@YoDanno our group used the 4d6, drop lowest. and then based on your scores you could choose your class. back during the 2e days. i liked that certain classes required some high rolls - so my first character was an illusionist. it felt special bc you had to get the right rolls, and 1/2

@mikemearls That’s impressive. Do you think it’s easier to get into the routine of 1 hr sessions if the group plays more frequently?

My group typically meets every 2-3 weeks at most, so our sessions tend to run around 3-4 hrs, but I could see shorter sessions working if we did it weekly.

@mikemearls @newbiedm even back in 2e once the PCs would reach 12th or higher level, it became a little difficult to keep the challenges going, and what we would do is “retire” those PCs, the players would roll up new ones, and they would encounter the prior PCs on occasion during the campaign

Listen, I'm all in for the messaging/strategy biopsy. Need to build a bigger tent; use economic populism as the tentpole; be less judgmental and exclusionary.

But folks, he might not be lying about the round ups and political prosecutions. Job one is to get ready for that.
