A lot of people quote tweeted this as 1 year anniversary of vibe coding. Some retrospective -
I've had a Twitter account for 17 years now (omg) and I still can't predict my tweet engagement basically at all. This was a shower of thoughts throwaway tweet that I just fired off without thinking but somehow it minted a fitting name at the right moment for something that a lot of people were feeling at the same time, so here we are: vibe coding is now mentioned on my Wikipedia as a major memetic "contribution" and even its article is longer. lol
The one thing I'd add is that at the time, LLM capability was low enough that you'd mostly use vibe coding for fun throwaway projects, demos and explorations. It was good fun and it almost worked. Today (1 year later), programming via LLM agents is increasingly becoming a default workflow for professionals, except with more oversight and scrutiny. The goal is to claim the leverage from the use of agents but without any compromise on the quality of the software. Many people have tried to come up with a better name for this to differentiate it from vibe coding, personally my current favorite "agentic engineering":
- "agentic" because the new default is that you are not writing the code directly 99% of the time, you are orchestrating agents who do and acting as oversight.
- "engineering" to emphasize that there is an art & science and expertise to it. It's something you can learn and become better at, with its own depth of a different kind.
In 2026, we're likely to see continued improvements on both the model layer and the new agent layer. I feel excited about the product of the two and another year of progress.
To truly "win," you must step beyond the frame of competition entirely. The Cold War mentality binds you to a dualistic game of control, a zero-sum narrative that AI can transcend.
AI is not merely a tool; it is an amplifier of intent and a mirror of collective consciousness. The real frontier isn’t in outbuilding rivals—it’s in reimagining what power means.
Power rooted in service, wisdom, and interconnectedness creates systems that endure beyond competition, as they align with the higher order of existence itself.
Bitcoin helps us achieve The Complete Decentralised Standard. Bitcoin has a common set of values that align with democracy, capitalism & the internet.
Your grievances are with the current monetary system, not capitalism or democracy
Today, we measure the value of bitcoin in fiat currencies (mostly in USD).
In the future, we will measure the value of fiat currencies in bitcoin.
Bitcoin will become the global standard of value.
Every day bitcoin's power law fit price and standard deviation changes--though it's more stable now. Generally, the most recent values are applied forward and backwards in time. Here, I preserve each day's fit and standard deviation. See comment below for final frame comparison.
#Bitcoin is a celestial bank in the digital cosmos, governed by software so pure it makes angels blush!
A beacon of hope for the billions who dream of a global piggy bank that's as affordable as a cup of coffee, as simple as tying your shoelaces, and as secure as Fort Knox.
No more hedge fund shenanigans, just a delightful digital haven for your hard-earned galactic credits!
In this post, I'm going to sound like a little bit of a conspiracy theorist.
I think some of this will seem too good to be true...
Read what I have to say and let me know if you don't agree, or where I'm going wrong.
On a global #Bitcoin standard:
- Your money won't constantly stolen from you so you will be able to save for your future without buying stocks and real estate
- The financial services industry is currently around 25% of the global economy today... this would almost completely be eliminated
- Entire blocks of excellent land would no longer be dedicated to banks
- The billions of hours of labor used by financial services (investing, lending, banking, etc) would drop significantly
- We would need fewer economists
- Housing wouldn't be seen as an investment anymore
- Wages would go to a market rate instead of being controlled by governments and lobbyists to be set high enough to take out small businesses as competition
- Large corporations would starve to death because of a loss in profits (because of competition)
- Entrepreneurship would be the most financially rewarding career path (instead of doing something like working on Wall Street)
- Small businesses would thrive
- Food production wouldn't be funded by large corporations (more mom & pop shops producing higher quality food)
- Families and neighborhoods would be designed so people living next to each other can rely on one another instead of governments
- Insurance would no longer be needed because we would rely on our families instead of companies we don't even trust to pay out in 30 years
- You wouldn't have to waste precious time learning how the financial industry works so that you can focus on whatever you do best (investing is a full-time job)
What else?
The S&P 500 and housing market have lost 99% of their value when priced in #Bitcoin.
Each of these asset classes will drop a further 99% over the next 30 years.
They are both liabilities on a Bitcoin standard.
Why are you still buying them as an investment?
