CM was less costly than LC, with no significant difference in Quality-adjusted life-years (QALY)
The incremental cost-effectiveness ratio was high, meaning important potential NHS savings could be achieved, with limited QALY loss, by following CM in the short term
Longer-term modelling suggested that CM might be cost-effective, but there was greater uncertainty due to limited information on subsequent surgeries in both groups, and differences in QoL beyond 24 months could reverse this finding
