A symbol of unity in defiance of oppression.
36 years ago, two million people joined hands across Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in a fearless demand for freedom - the Baltic Way 🇪🇪🤝🇱🇻🤝🇱🇹
A main walkway in the EP building in Brussels is named in honour of the event.
In unhealthy relationships, people walk on eggshells to avoid conflict. They tell you what you want to hear.
In healthy relationships, people have the courage to address conflict. They tell you what you need to hear.
Silence protects fragile ties. Candor strengthens real bonds.
Our scarcest, most precious resource is not time or energy. It’s attention.
Our circumstances are often beyond our control. Our concentration is within it. Where we focus shapes our happiness, success, and relationships.
Undivided attention is the most basic currency of care.
Lithuanian singers will be pretty much unmissable on opera stages this spring/summer.

In toxic cultures, burnout is a badge of honor. Working through exhaustion is celebrated.

UNESCO pays tribute to the memory of Pope Francis @Pontifex. He was a powerful voice for peace and human dignity through education, science and culture. He was deeply committed to the protection of nature and to the ethics of emerging technologies. As a leading figure in interreligious dialogue, he was also a strong supporter of @UNESCO’s reconstruction of #Mosul’s Old City. We extend our deepest condolences to Catholics around the world.

Liking is shallow affection. It comes from being pleasant—you bend over backwards to accommodate others.
Respect is deep regard. It's earned by being principled—you consistently stand up for your values.
The first woman to be awarded a Nobel Prize, the first individual to be awarded two Nobel Prizes and still today the only individual with two Nobel Prizes in two different scientific categories: Marie Skłodowska Curie.
