I agree, but this is happening because a) deterrence has failed and b) there’s been too little of it.
German gas dependency has financed Russian re-arming and the City sadly has, on the fringes, helped facilitate it.

Worth listening to, dark moments for British politics - I am completely neutral on UK politics, I have no faith in any of the current crop after almost 10 years of nonsense and the pull of the great British nation into the role of a second or third rate nation - #angry
'Yesterday's scenes in the House of Commons have no place in a functioning democracy': James O'Brien reacts to Boris Johnson's contemptible Jimmy Savile slur against Keir Starmer.

If this level of untrustworthy behaviour and disregard for honour and truth doesn't make us all feel like the political system has let everybody in the UK down, I don't know what will - get BREXIT done and then fail the country on everything else. GOBSMACKED!

yes 'what has the BBC ever done for us'? A great British institution that has done more for global Britain than any dodgy slogan from the current Government. This Ad says it all!
@BorisConSome1 A lot of people forget the liberal interventionism of Sierra Leone and Kosovo, led by UK Govt and pushed hard by Blair, would anybody disagree with these actions, I agree, New Labour and TB were good for Britain, Iraq was going to be a mess whoever was leading at the time!
Bit of a rant - but how can @londonheathrow charge for picking passengers up, when they take over 45 mins to deliver bags? 🤔 come on @British_Airways have a word!

@RoryStewartUK Not very Presidential, expected more from the Democrats to be honest, what is happening in Afghanistan is an avoidable tragedy and deserved a smart, timely withdrawal, not a 'run for the hills' approach, worse than this it is not the way to remember those who died for freedom.
@thesundaytimes Great article and highlights the real sadness around what is happening - what a shame Rod Liddle in the commentary section of the same newspaper doesn’t reflect this - he really is a clown
Well done and well said @JohnnyMercerUK - about time somebody in government stood up for what they believe - I know you have the support of @Tobias_Ellwood@TomTugendhat@IoWBobSeely and the rest of us veterans - you are an honourable man Sir
