There's only one @alan_biley ! Absolutely superb night at Fratton Park with a great bloke, a fantastic footballer, Pompey legend and my boyhood hero. Great stories, amazing memories.
This is a shocking medical scandal. Thank goodness for those like @scotbythesea who’ve fought to bring it into the light.

I've created a Zack Polanski CV generator which refreshes each time it's opened - so every time you see it there's new roles that Zack's worked in

This documentary was very disturbing and deeply moving. It is vitally important to watch for anyone wjo cares about free speech and academic freedom, as I do. https://t.co/c6HxOy639h
I have rarely, if ever, heard anything as powerful and painfully, devestatedly truthful as this speech by @roisinmurphy. What a terrible toll, but a beautiful fightback:

And finally, science and common sense start to prevail. Very good piece in @guardianopinion by @tjadred . It's really important that Guardian readers see these arguments in their paper.
To see this in @guardian brings me close to tears of relief. Huge thanks to @tjaldred, who will get plenty of flak, but should get heartfelt thanks from everyone interested in serious journalism and fairness in sport.
Every word.

@soniasodha Well said Sonia, but I have to say you have also made a tremendous contribution. Your writing inspires many people. A sane, rational and reasonable voice in these difficult times.
@TrpPotichu In the case of athletes with an XY-DSD, they are born with undescended testes/testicles and ambiguous or female-appearing genitals, but because they typically have testosterone levels in the male range, as they grow, they undergo male sex development. There are rare exceptions.
The FAQs from the IOC spell the new policy out very clearly. And every media outlet that reported a ban (or blanket ban) on transgender athletes at the Olympics (and there were so many of them) should read this and correct their stories.
Important!
The International Olympic Committee has published a series of FAQs abut the new eligibility policy for female Olympic sport.
I haven't gone through it all yet, but it's good to see moves to correct all the misinformation being circulated.

@TrpPotichu Athletes with an XY-DSD are not excluded from IOC events, including the Olympic Games. Like all other athletes, they are eligible to compete in the category that aligns with their biological sex.
Transgender athletes who are biologically female – as per the scientific eligibility requirement – and who meet qualification standards may compete in the female category as long as they have not used testosterone or other androgens.
