📣 NEW PUBLICATION: Evaluating the impact of oral 👄 🌊 hygiene instruction and digital 🤖 oral health education within cardiac ❤️ rehabilitation clinics
It’s been shown that gum disease and heart disease are 🔗 linked. However, most people with heart disease don’t know much about this link or how taking care of their teeth can affect their heart. Because of this, they often don’t realize how important it is to keep their mouth healthy. Teaching these patients about dental care in a way that’s tailored to them can make their oral health better, thereby helping to reduce their risk of a future heart attack!
Online learning programs that are easy to understand, have been successful in helping people learn more, feel more confident, and be more willing to take care of their health. This study will check if giving patients with heart disease personalized dental care advice, along with a digital tool for oral health education, can help them take better care of their teeth, know more about gum health’s link to heart disease, and be more eager to improve their dental health.
