@aliceleung Factors vary, as you know. But learning environments play a role, funding for classroom & education play a role, increased social & special ed needs play a role, teacher burnout play a role.
Many reasons, with many isolated solutions. Would be great to see collaborative action.
My 9yr old asked me this morning..."What is a constitutional democracy?"
She's talked for 3yrs now about "going into government to write laws."
She's been presenting to different audiences so she can "get used to presenting her ideas & speaking with intention" 👏😊
@MonBLeaves
Change can support positive outcomes for collective planet & individual people.
An individual does matter. Or for context, 1 million individuals matter... At every step of the way, lawmaker or not.
The youth are showing the way. 👏

This clip of a Senate leader is the challenge we have with those falling prey to 'fallacy of insignificance'.
Not to mention a dose of 'tragedy of the commons'.
There's a lot we can do, Senator, a lot we can all do.

... we’re 1 million people on earth with 7.9 billion people on it, I think there is very little we’re going to do at a state level that going to have impact on the earth’s temperatures”.
An individual's actions can support the collective.
Collective actions support change.

@ICT_GURU I would add an edit;
"You can have everything you want in life.... if you will just help enough other people articulate their wants to get it."
I'd debate people generally know what they want, they just don't know how to articulate it in a tangible way for others to help 👍☺️
For a long time, it has been proven men making decisions for women, white people making decisions for indigenous folk, city people making decisions for country folk, just doesn't work out well.
Those who live it can understand it, those who don't, don't.

@ICT_GURU Humans have lost the art of asking questions. I haven't run any scientific study on this but I'd say it was likely due to lack of practice 😉
Maybe we can ask ChatGPT 😋
@kirstinferguson Buying goodwill is too easy these days. Change is 'too hard'. Co-opted 'days' of acknowledgement in the calendar are far to empty and do not come with frank discussions about how real change can flow through into everyday activity we do.
Wow, cause that worked well over the last 2000 or so years.
I've got a solution... hear me out...
Women own men as legal property, so if they commit the crime of rape to another woman, OR GIRL, they can be punished by any means fit to the property owner.
Sound good?
Peterson saying that the only real way to stop rape is to make women men's legal property, so men will finally be really upset when other men commit rape.
That way a MAN will be wronged when a woman is raped - and then other men will actually care about her being assaulted.
The standard you walk past is the standard you allow.
For a 'governing body of the people' that's one hell of a standard being set.
Let's not forget legalities and code of conduct of porn distribution in the workplace.

I was asked a question by Miss 8yr old...
"What's something no living thing can stop touching?"
BUT before you go to cheeky places...instead I said "not sure, what?"
She says "Air! There's nothing on this planet that can stop touching air".
Her logic thread was pretty tight.
