Firefighters rescued a man from a flat fire on the #IsleofDogs. A woman was also led to safety by crews.
The fire is believed to have been caused by cooking - never leave cooking unattended and turn off the hob if you're leaving the room

Today, with great respect and fondness we reflect on our time with Queen Elizabeth II. With great sadness we say goodbye one last time.
We remember her strength, her leadership, her empathy, and her kindness.
You will always be remembered.
Thank you, Ma’am.
Yesterday was the Brigade's busiest day since World War II as unprecedented hot weather meant firefighters dealt with more than 1,146 incidents across #London and Control took 2,670 calls. Heroic action taken by firefighters meant there were no fatalities. https://t.co/UytCtH6ggx
We have declared a major incident as firefighters battle several significant fires across the capital during today’s record-breaking heatwave. For the latest on those, follow this account @londonfire https://t.co/1ThCGrc33K
5 years ago 72 people died because they were trapped in a government mandated death trap. 5 years later and we can’t forget their names. We must continue to fight for justice for them and their families. 💚💚✊🏾 #Justice4Grenfell
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters are currently at the scene of a fire in a mixed use commercial building in #CoventGarden. https://t.co/Pn7pZ2mUEB
@fbunational @FBUNWC As a FBU member and London firefighter I am disgusted at this!! I want to apologise to our fellow 1st responder colleges for such a disrespectful tweet. This DOES NOT represent our views!!
A guard of honour for birthday boy Ernie Cock who reached the ripe old age of 100. Ernie joined the National Fire Service in 1946 and then transferred to Brigade. He served the majority of his career at #Poplar fire station. Once a firefighter, always a firefighter.
