In 2022, we hosted CoNIC, the most extensive competition on automatic nuclei identification in computational pathology to dateππ. We are pleased to announce that the outcomes and a thorough analysis are now published in Medical Image Analysis π£
Our post-challenge analysis utilised top-performing models on 1,658 WSIs of colon tissue. With approximately 700 million detected nuclei per model, we harnessed associated features for dysplasia grading and survival analysis and demonstrated boosts in downstream performance π
