Hundreds of civil servants are among those gathering for a Service of Thanksgiving in Westminster Abbey today, to honour the life and work of Jeremy, Lord Heywood of Whitehall, former Cabinet Secretary and Head of the Civil Service.
Astonishing 50th anniversary gig last night by King Crimson @DGMHQ at the Royal Albert Hall. A real 'Red' letter day. Thanks to everyone involved. And two nights still to come!
Chief Executive of the Civil Service, John Manzoni, delivered his opening address to over 900 civil servants this morning, helping to kick off #CivilServiceLive 2019
RT ScotDigAcademy: The SDA are here are for #CivilServiceLive. A great opening speech from Civil Service Chief Exec and Perm Sec John Manzoni, who also recognised the great work we have been doing over the past year delivering to over 900 delegates. #SDA…
Spot mentoring is proving to be as popular as ever at #CivilServiceLive in Edinburgh today. Don't forget to sign up if you are attending one of the events across the country.
Great start to #CivilServiceLive 2019 in Edinburgh @eicc with John Manzoni praising @UKCivilService and setting out plans to modernise with better tech, leadership and cross govt hubs. Good questions from delegates and chaired brilliantly by @LisaAHunter
Amazing performance by Camel at the @RoyalAlbertHall last night. And an amazing reaction from the audience. Whole band @Camel_Andylat, Andrew Latimer in particular, seemed really moved. #camelband#moonmadness
Many thanks to @AdamThorndike @simonholder06 @cabinetofficeuk and @GCS_Design102 for putting together really good new edition of Civil Service Quarterly with a focus on the role of the professional functions in government. https://t.co/eSqGLbU8Bq
Well done to @simonholder06 for an excellent article on 100 years of government communication in the new edition of Civil Service Quarterly. Plenty of lessons for modern @UKgovcomms and eight challenges for the future. #CSQuarterly https://t.co/rYRIucNJpp
#CivilServiceLive is a great way to learn new skills & share good practice across the @UKCivilService. The first one this year starts today in #Glasgow. https://t.co/V9OXZr50Ry
Another reminder Sunday of why @philharmonia is my favourite London orchestra. Symphonie Fantastique always grips but this was a thrilling, fast-paced performance under Paavo Jarvi. Every part of the orchestra on top form. And a great Rach 3 from supersub pianist Denis Kozhukhin.
The @UKCivilService#CSAwards ceremony is 1 of my highlights of the year - perhaps the only time when we allow ourselves to celebrate what we do and our ability to produce outstanding results. Congrats and thank you to all the winners & teams shortlisted! https://t.co/kBy2q8Xxn9
