Pegula is going to be kicking herself after that set. She had three break points across her first two return games, then a 0–30 opening at 3–3. Couldn’t take any of them, and in the very next game she was broken to love. Now we’re at one set apiece. Coco showing that trademark fight once again, no matter the scoreline, she never goes away!
Taylor Fritz moves into the quarterfinals with a 100-minute win over Alexander Bublik! Fritz settled in beautifully and was excellent on return, using the chip return to neutralize Bublik’s serve and get himself into points. The backhand was outstanding today, there was simply nothing for Bublik to pick on. And whenever Fritz got a small opening on return, he buckled down and made it count. Even when Bublik found a look on return, Fritz responded with such smart, clean tennis. A really complete performance!
Absolutely RIDICULOUS. Arthur Fery 🇬🇧 stages one of the all time great comebacks from 4-1 double break down in the 4th and 4-1 down in the fifth against Bergs 🇧🇪 in 4 and a half hours to make the 4th round of Wimbledon 🇬🇧 for the very first time. Simply remarkable from Arthur as he enters the top 100 for the very first time. Lost for words take a bow Arthur Fery!
Brutal loss for Brandon Nakashima. He served for the match in the fifth set, then held a 7–4 lead in the deciding tiebreak... and still couldn't get across the finish line. The questions about closing out the biggest moments will continue after another defeat. An incredible escape for Jan-Lennard Struff, who advances to the Round of 16.
Frances Tiafoe moves 23-0 this season after winning the first set! Had to save two break points serving for the match, but gets it done vs. Atmane. Sets up a meeting with Jan Choinski, where they last met in 2014 at the Roland Garros Juniors.
For Frances Tiafoe, its an important first-round test against the big-serving, aggressive lefty Terence Atmane. Let's see if Tiafoe can carry the momentum from Halle into Wimbledon.

For the second year running Arthur Fery 🇬🇧 makes the 2nd round at Wimbledon 🇬🇧 as he comes from a set and a break down be Dzhumur 🇧🇦 3-6,6-2,6-2,6-1 to comfortably move through eventually! He really found his groove after breaking back at 2-2 in the second! A British man in the second round is conformed! 2-12 for Brits this year
Almost 24 hours later, Zizou Bergs is an ATP champion for the first time, coming from a set down to defeat Ugo Humbert!
And now they get to do it all over again. Humbert will have revenge on his mind when they meet in the first round of Wimbledon on Tuesday. The grass suits Bergs well with his aggressive play style and solid movement.
Considering there was only about a 3% chance they would draw each other, it’s a fun storyline heading into the tournament!
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is an ATP champion at last!
After going 0–5 in ATP finals, he finally gets his moment. The momentum completely shifted midway through the second set, and Fokina found another level on serve when he needed it most. He hit 5 aces across his final two service games after having just 1 ace through the rest of the match. A special moment for Davidovich Fokina, his fans, and the sport.
Emma Navarro with a great win over Iga Swiatek! There wasn't much rhythm throughout the match, but Navarro's heavy ball consistently made life uncomfortable for Swiatek and rushed her out of her preferred patterns. After Iga found her level in the second set, Navarro stepped up in the big moments of the third and took her chances. This was Swiatek's first match since her Roland Garros loss to Marta Kostyuk, and there were signs of rust outside of that strong stretch in the second set. Navarro, meanwhile, continues to build momentum on grass and now moves into a quarterfinal against Elena-Gabriela Ruse.
Arthur Fery is into his first tour-level quarterfinal as he takes down Mannarino in straight sets. Did a great job extending rallies and staying patient from the baseline, while also coming up with some huge passing shots when he needed them most. The Fery backhand was a major problem for Mannarino today. He hit it flat, with angle, and consistently pulled Mannarino off the court. Once Mannarino was stretched wide into the forehand corner, it felt like Fery had control of the point. A really complete performance from Fery.
With his win over Sho Shimabukuro, Frances Tiafoe moves to 20–0 this season after winning the first set. His ability to protect leads has been underrated. Once he can play from ahead, his serve, forehand, and net instincts become even more dangerous.
That is one hell of a performance from Arthur Fery 🇬🇧 who easily takes out good friend and fellow Brit Toby Samuel 🇬🇧 6-0,6-2. Argues ability to find a crucial return off a first serve in the slick grass is mighty impressive and his crafty moves forward are so tricky to deal with. It’s a first ATP Tour win for him! Into R2 where he’ll face Mannarino 🇫🇷!
Victoria Mboko slips and falls and is forced to retire from the match against Karolína Plíšková. Health has to be the priority, but it also puts her doubles quarterfinal with Serena Williams in jeopardy. Serena is already set to play Berlin with Karolina Muchova as her next doubles partner.
Matteo Arnaldi and Flavio Cobolli have spent years on similar trajectories. Arnaldi broke through first, but Cobolli eventually took the next step. How Matteo Arnaldi and Flavio Cobolli Traded Places on Italian Tennis' Ladder.

Feels like Zverev is executing exactly the game plan he wants. Takes the first set 7-5. He's happy to sit in those crosscourt exchanges and wait for the ball to change lines. Because he doesn't feel threatened by the Mensik forehand crosscourt, he's swinging much more freely off both wings. Mensik's serve has gotten him out of trouble, but it also cost him a break with two double faults. The forehand, meanwhile, is landing noticeably short when he tries to exchange crosscourt with Zverev. When Mensik steps inside the baseline on second-serve returns and leaves the ball short, Zverev has done an excellent job exposing his court positioning and taking immediate control of the point.
