@A5ko@vs_evil @chrisciupka @Taralos @WorldofEternity Even without knowing the implementation, I'm quite confident items/buffs won't be an issue - maybe need to re-equip to trigger the effect.
But I wonder how bonuses/abilities from character creation or levelling are handled in the engine. I hope those will be fine 😐

It feels like a early beta version in some regards 😕 I truly wonder what went wrong leading up to this release.
@Andyip2019@vs_evil @chrisciupka @Taralos @WorldofEternity FWIW, you could try turning off auto-save, it might help with crashes. I say "might" because it probably depends on where/why you are crashing, and because I haven't tried it myself (I have lots of issues, but no crashes. Fingers crossed 🙄)
@chrisciupka @Taralos @vs_evil@WorldofEternity I imagine the log must be frustrating to port. Can't make the window too big, b/c handheld play. Can't make the text too small b/c docked play and accessibility. Preferences would fix that.
Then a setting for the level of default detail, plus click the stick to expand rolls?
@vs_evil @chrisciupka @Taralos @WorldofEternity May still be too early to comment on this, but can we assume that the patch, when it comes out, will fix existing saves? If there's a chance that I need to restart a new game when the patch comes, I might slow down my pace a bit 😅
@chrisciupka @Taralos @vs_evil@WorldofEternity I wish we could set a font size preference for the log. I would set to 1/2 of the current value, maybe even smaller.
And it would help log usability a lot if handheld mode supprted touch screen, though that maybe a lot to ask for (though it might be convenient in general)

- text size is so big it show more fee entries (3~4 max)
- scrolling is hard - pause, open a radial menu, scroll
- [bug?] the last log entry is not always visible until I manually scroll
- [bug?] leaving the log unpauses
@Obsidian@WorldofEternity@vs_evil Lots of Switch PoE bugs keep being raised on reddit as well: https://t.co/KQHSRKZ6Nl It's odd that some people seem to be experiencing completely different types of bugs - e.g. I have zero crashes and no issues with ranged weapons...
@Taralos @vs_evil@WorldofEternity But to be honest: while I love the game, it feels like playing a beta. I'm happy to play a beta and report bugs, but this is being shipped as a finished product, for which I paid money (albeit a discounted price) 😕. In no way is this a shippable product in its current state.
@Taralos @vs_evil@WorldofEternity Maybe waiting is wiser😂 I for one have not stopped playing - even with bugs the game is still amazing, and if I don't play I won't find and report bugs.
However, I am concerned that I will hit a point in the game where broken mechanics hamstring my party against enemies 😕
@Taralos @vs_evil@WorldofEternity I've had the same once, after looting straight to stash. Never been able to reproduce and didn't take a screenshot at the time, but I sent @vs_evil a report about this as well 😔
@vs_evil@_Mark_Kirby_@WorldofEternity Yep, very annoying - but it's crazy how much I love this game in spite of the bugs. It's a testament to the quality of the game and the quality of the console conversion. It's one of my favorite games already, expect it to shoot to the top once all these issues are fixed 🙂
@Ronnikop@vs_evil@WorldofEternity It's a shame because I didn't expect issues with the core game mechanics in a port. Before purchase I worried if an isometric RPG would translate to well to switch controls., but @vs_evil did a *stunning* job in that regard! So this was rather unexpected 😕

The occasional (!) crash or glitched text is merely annoying but stat bonuses/abilities not working (or displaying) properly undercuts much of the game mechanics and balancing. Without the core mechanics stable and reliable, this game should not have been released.
