Will you be reading books written by AI in 2023? Massive technological developments like ChatGPT means the day could soon be here when AI can write bestselling novels, writes @Simply__Ines@UL https://t.co/CuTyxSJKf1
AI is a revolution also to Feminist studies.
Why does Siri and Alexa mostly have a feminine voice? What about AI girlfriends and AI influencers created for the male gaze, designed and capitalised on by men? Lots to think about. #AIFeminism#GenderInTech

I created Dzarja (DZ+Darja). A GPT to hold conversations in the #Algerian dialect.
Our dialect, as all of the North African "accents", are known to be quite different from the rest of the Arab dialects. I hope to train and teach GPT4 to converse in Darja

It still has a long way to go. But in comparison to where it was a month ago (when I first attempted to have a conversation with it), it definitely made some progress. Help me train it, and make the Algerian dialect accessable to the rest of the world.
Thinking of a #GPT that can assist native Arabic speakers to develop their English writing skills. Definitely a tool that I would have loved to access as a student of English.

“If a federal judge finds that OpenAI illegally copied The Times' articles to train its AI model, the court could order the company to destroy ChatGPT's dataset, forcing the company to recreate it using only work that it is authorized to use.”

@JFennellAuthor I am not sure what to feel about a platform having millions of users being treated like a playground (or at least that is how I see it). it no longer feels like the product of a corporation, but more like it's Elon's world and we're living in it.
So, I'll ask again "who is speaking thus?"
Generating in then the "destruction of every voice, of every point of origin" (Barthes), output is the peacing together of the shattered pieces of every voice to create a new one.
