@LenaMetlegeDiab @CitImmCanada @MarkJCarney @OurCommons @SenateCA On the caregiver program,I have written to the Immigration minister, her office, and the PM Mark Carney twice sharing the same sentiment as echoed by Toronto Start about thousands of caregivers in limbo and nobody seems to care about processing the HCCP,HSWP and HCWIP to finalization.

If there is a delay in processing their PR applications,please create a public policy so that they can apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit to maintain their status instead of waiting for eligibility passed letter(HCCP/HSWP) or AOR for HCWIP. before applying for a work permit extension.

Imagine,eligibility passed letter for stage 2 HCCP and HSWP is taking more than 1yr and AOR for HCWIP is unknown.

Just create same public policy like you did for T13 so that caregivers in Canada can be hopeful and they have not been forgotten.

“Many caregivers who applied in good faith have lost the ability to work legally while waiting for permanent residence processing,” said Kim, 40, who came here from Korea with her husband in 2024. Their work permit expires next week.

“Leaving us without a viable way to maintain legal work status while stretching the processing time by years is completely unfair.”

What’s also unfair, according to the Canadian Caregivers Assistance Organization, is that the bridging work permit is available to most other economic immigration applicants with pending permanent residence. The advocacy group called it an affront to the contributions of foreign caregivers.

Nigeria immigration service ,Ottawa Canada don’t reply emails
I went for capturing on the 30th of January and I was told I will get my passport in 10 to 15 days which have not get any response from them till now.
Please help a sister by retweeting this so I can get help
