@PIDEpk has been talking of #اصلاح over the last few years. Have taken our reform agenda across the country, taken people's advice, and adapted it accordingly. It's your turn at the #EconFest2024 to put your sign and endorse it.
Add your voice to push for #Reforms.
With the aim of creating a thought community, Pakistan’s first ever #EconFest held in Lahore (and later in Islamabad).
In the third #EconFest2024 we are geared to generate more stimulating debates on May 25-26, 2024 in Gandhara Center, F9 Park #Islamabad.
EconFest Previous editions spotlighted conversations on key economics issues; investment opportunities, agricultural diversification, textile sector, Research & Development, inflation, demographic issues, energy crisis, climate change, resilient cities, auto industry, real estate, sludge: cost of bureaucracy, reforms for political stability, branding & franchising, digital economy, taxation, foreign aid, charter of economy, local governance, cost of sprawl, social protection, tech for change, internet for all, law, justice & economy, justice for all, invisible 50%, good childhood, elite capture, & economic reforms. Organised in Alhamra Art Center in Lahore and Pak-China Friendship Center in Islamabad, the events brought policymakers, politicians, practitioners, business persons, artists, & social mobilisers to one platform. The festival used multiple mediums (talks, documentaries & books exhibitions) for public debate on key socioeconomic issues.
The nation's think tank @PIDEpk Reform Manifesto is here. The proposed reforms agenda is based on extensive research conducted by #pide in the last four years, and consultation sessions with Stakeholders, Policymakers, Youth, Academicians across all four provinces.Join us online
We’ve come full circle ⭕️
Back to schools, colleges, universities & offices being shut down because of terror threats.
As someone who’s experienced this situation, it hurts to see this happen all over again.

@Iqraa_Munawar@PIDEpk@SimplyMohsin And they did a great job!
Was fun working with them. Going in a cycle of deadline anxiety, jokes, laughter, panic....
World is moving away from an unfunded budgetary pension model to ‘contributory schemes’&pension funds. It is high time for Pakistan to make strides in this direction to control the ever-growing national liability. There is a need to modify the system.
