In line with Siddharth. As an avid follower of political debates, I seldom see bad blood run beneath the speakers. Even the smirks are taking on a lighter note. Ive always felt the leaders have a laugh watching their supporters fight tooth and nail for them.
My observation after appearing on a few TV debates in the last few months is that almost all party spokespersons are very cordial, if not jigri dosth, with each other off camera.
Something for the abusive party ecosystems on X to think about. Your own leaders, for whom you abuse each other, are probably having a laugh about it with each other while sipping different varieties of exquisite liquids and fermented milk.
Just curious., Was the previous government questioned even half as much as what the current government is being questioned? Which is a good change tbh. Governments should be questioned and rightly so. So but I think the previous governments got away easy! #tn#politics
@sumanthraman Functionality of a language within walls & meetings works very differently when it is on a stage as big as the assembly. While I agree with your point, this cannot be the fair context of judgment.
Sumanth, this isn't an oratory competition. You should worry when someone uses inappropriate slurs, clearly which you haven't called out, not worry when a first timer is nervous and trying to speak right.
Your blind privilege of public speaking skills is a worry. Not this.
What did I watch?? I legit felt traumatised & triggered. What is this even? This is getting out of hands. Politics cannot be this. Im truly scared for my state now.

Disagree with his takes all you want, but labeling everyone with childhood trauma as "பைத்தியம்" is completely wrong and unacceptable.
Victims of trauma are not props for your political rhetoric. Leave them out of it.
@iparanthamen
Shocked to hear @iparanthamen wanting to chain mentally ill people. I understand the anger against @CTR_Nirmalkumar but to say that he should be admitted to the mental hospital, and, if he doesn’t become better, he needs to be chained, is regressive and unbecoming of a progressive leader.
To imply that mentally ill need to be chained - in this day and age where the nation has even adopted Advance Directive - is wrong and needs correction.
All unfit people are not mentally ill. Some are just despicable human beings who prioritise votes and power over everything else.
By equating a repulsive person with the mentally ill, Paranthaman has perpetuated a stereotype and done a disservice to society.
Arappor Iyakkam raised a complaint against this Rs 2000 Crore tender violation in February 2026 itself which was reported in media as well.
However then Govt's state highways dept headed by Minister @evvelu still went ahead with it blatantly.
The @tncpim refuses to participate in the alliance coordination meeting called by @TVKVijayHQ tomorrow.
Party chief Shanmugam says the party will extend only outside support and will not be part of the coordination mechanism.
CPI is also likely to take the same position, since both Left parties generally function as a block.
They will just remain in the ஆதரவு நலை
@mithunraman I've seen this man's speech in debates, and it is disgusting in a lot of ways. Especially when he defends the derigatory remarks made by his leaders against women.
Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin was not in the House when DMK MLAs were evicted today.
A chance missed to recreate this iconic scene from 10 years ago, when then Leader of Opposition MK Stalin was evicted from the Tamil Nadu assembly 👇

DMK MLAs gherao Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker JCD Prabhakar on the floor of the House.
DMK members demand that CM Vijay’s remarks be expunged from the records.
Speaker declines.
I'm curious about those wanting direct answers from the CM for the mu*ders, ra*es, thef*s & other unlawful things happening in the state. What could he say that will stop an individual's fit of rage in that moment? I'm not picking sides, but genuinely trying to understand!
