*Pakatan Harapan bukan sekadar berjanji, tetapi melaksanakan reformasi.*
Reformasi Tidak Akan Terhenti. 🩵❤️

"Cooling as a service" sounds cool
That's the niche KJTS carved out in Malaysia $KJTS.KL
But thermal equipment is damn expensive, and KJTS only had so much cash. So they formed Lestari Cooling Energy with Stonepeak and KWAP, Malaysia's 2nd largest pension fund
Lestari will absorb the heavy capex burden for select projects, and Stonepeak and the pension maintain 90% ownership. While the remaining 10% may seem small, it allows KJTS to focus on what it does best: developing and operating cooling systems
This is a massive derisking move for KJTS
Lestari will act as the "landlord" for key projects and hold inflation-resistant hard assets that generate predictable yield. In exchange, KJTS is totally absolved of balance sheet risk. They're also exclusive in all Lestari projects
For example, when Lestari took over KIPMall $KIPR.KL assets from KJTS, Lestari immediately handed KJTS an engineering contract worth around $4.5 million USD
But here's the sweet part: both KJTS and Lestari operate under 20-year BOOT agreements: Build Own Operate Transfer. That now means Lestari invests up front, lands the BOOT agreement with a client, and KJTS locks in two decades of recurring revenue
All of this gives KJTS one more key benefit: scalability. Before Lestari, KJTS was tethered to its own balance sheet. With huge institutions picking up the capex tab, KJTS's ceiling just got infinitely higher. Plus, they're still free to go out and win their own work too
KJTS reported +54% YoY revenue growth in 2025. Their cooling energy segment soared +97% YoY, pulling away from their $CTAS–like cleaning segment which was still up a respectable +19% YoY
The company's future goes far beyond shopping malls. They have partnered with China Construction Yangtze River to pursue data center and infrastructure projects in Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, and Turkey
According to @researchmarkets, the data center market in Southeast Asia is expected to grow from $13.7B in 2024 to $30.5B by 2030, a 14.2% CAGR
KJTS also has an agreement with the Penang Development Corporation to design and build the cooling infrastructure for an extremely ambitious development:
Penang Medi-City, a proposed 236-acre medical hub on the oceanfront with four private hospitals, a medical university, and a research center. Medi-City is planned to be complete in 2040 with the ultimate goal of becoming an international destination for medical tourism. (Aging millennials, take note)
KJTS isn't a global story, but it's not a local one either. Like iCents $ICENTS.KL, KJTS stands to benefit from the massive growth in tech infrastructure across Southeast Asia
By shedding heavy capex burdens, KJTS can grow into leading much larger projects than they could have previously imagined. And unlike US contractors $FIX $EME $IESC that win work, get in, and get out, KJTS gets the added benefit of decades of recurring service revenue with each job. This is one of my favorite Malaysia stories yet
Ada Yang Cakap Ekonomi Kita Hancur. Tapi Data Dunia Tunjuk Cerita Yang Sangat Berbeza.

Penang's rise into a semiconductor superpower was almost accidental. Every Penangite knows the story — few outside the island do, even Malaysian.
The Malaysian government cancelled Penang's free port status in 1969, unemployment spiked to 20%. In a moment of desperation, the state went all-in on semiconductors and built a Free Trade Zone.
Intel opened its first-ever offshore plant there in 1972. Restaurant workers were retrained for the assembly line.
Quietly, across the 80s and 90s, it became a low-key powerhouse. Fly into Penang today and you feel it — the airport is underfunded and crowded, but drive into town and you pass the who's who of semicon, manufacturing and biotech. Intel, Micron, Agilent Omicron etc. Penang runs so deep in chips that even Broadcom's Hock Tan is a Penang boy.
One caution on Malaysian semis: most Penang-listed names are OSAT assembly and test. Record YoY revenue, but compressed margins and no real moat. Be careful.
And Penang is never complete without its legendary Char Kway Teow.
Eat spicy kway teow, trade hot stocks!
The Best Month in Malaysia’s Trade History - April 2026!
For the past few years, Malaysia has faced major economic challenges — Covid-19, the Russia-Ukraine war, global trade tensions, US unilateral tariffs, and conflicts in the Middle East. These black swan events have brought hardship to the world, including Malaysia.
Yet Malaysia was not defeated.
Under the steady stewardship of Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the MADANI Government’s capable economic team, Malaysia has not only recovered, but is now standing out strongly among other nations.
For the past few years, the Prime Minister has travelled extensively across the world to restore investor confidence and attract quality investments into Malaysia. Political stability under the MADANI Government has also convinced more foreign investors to choose Malaysia as their investment destination.
Today, the results are beginning to show.
Yesterday, I highlighted Malaysia’s outstanding 2026 trade performance, where total trade surpassed the *RM1 trillion mark within just four months — one month earlier than last year*.
Today, I want to highlight another historic achievement:
April 2026 was the best month ever in Malaysia’s trading history.
April 2026 Trade Performance:
* Total trade: RM336.7 billion
* Exports: RM182.7 billion
* Imports: RM153.9 billion
* Trade balance: RM28.7 billion
Exports jumped by 36.9% year-on-year, reflecting stronger industrial activity, increased production capacity, and growing global demand for products proudly “Made in Malaysia”.
Most importantly, Malaysia’s trade surplus surged by an impressive 460.5% year-on-year, demonstrating that the country is gaining significantly from international trade while strengthening the economy and supporting the ringgit.
The higher imports also reflect Malaysia’s growing economic strength. A large portion of these imports consists of capital goods and intermediate goods used by our industries for manufacturing and value-added activities before being exported to global markets.
These achievements are not happening by chance. They are the result of consistent economic management, investor confidence, and political stability under the MADANI Government and its capable MITI, MIDA, MATRADE and other agencies.
Malaysia’s trade performance is a success story.
It proves that with good leadership, political stability, and steady economic stewardship, Malaysia can rise above global uncertainty and turn economic challenges into national strength.

Malaysia’s Exports to Major Trading Partners Broke Records from January to April 2026
Since day one in office, Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim has worked tirelessly to attract both foreign and domestic investments.
For three consecutive years under PMX’s leadership, Malaysia recorded historic investment achievements:
2023 - RM 329.5 billion
2024 - RM 384.4 billion
2025 - RM 426.7 billion
In total, Malaysia secured RM1.14 trillion in approved investments under his watch.
Investment projects usually take time to materialise. From land acquisition, factory construction, machinery installation, hiring workers, to starting operations — the full impact is often seen after several years.
Now, after three years of hard work by the MADANI Government, these investments are beginning to bear fruit.
From January to April 2026, Malaysia’s trade performance was extraordinary. Trade surpassed the *RM1 trillion mark within just four months*, one month earlier than the previous year.
Indicator Jan–Apr 2026
Total Trade RM1.127 trillion
Exports RM609.31 billion
Imports RM517.40 billion
Trade Surplus RM91.92 billion
The trade surplus doubled from the previous year to RM91.92 billion.
Trade, exports, imports and trade surplus all recorded their highest-ever levels for the January to April period.
The equation is simple:
More investment → more factories → more goods produced → more exports → stronger trade surplus → more wealth generated in Malaysia.
This is PMX’s hard work paying off.
The Ministry of Investment Trade and Industry, MIDA, Matrade and all agencies deserve the credits as well.
For those oppositions who continue to attack the Prime Minister, this is a stellar economic performance they cannot deny. Even opposition-led states are benefiting from Malaysia’s exceptional economic momentum.
Akademi Dalam Industri (ADI)
Yesterday, I was honoured to officiate the first MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) facility in Malaysia by Singapore Airlines Engineering Company (SIAEC). Base Maintenance Malaysia will provide MRO services for airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Air India and other regional airlines.
I had the opportunity to visit the entire facility and observe our young professionals at work. This profession demands highly skilled talent and the highest standards to ensure aircraft safety and reliability.
The fact that SIAEC chose Malaysia as its third MRO hub (after Singapore and the Philippines) is a strong testament to the capabilities and quality of Malaysian engineering talent.
Malaysia is fast emerging as a regional aerospace MRO centre. Today, the aerospace MRO sector already employs more than 12,000 workers, while the broader aerospace industry has grown rapidly to reach RM32 billion across manufacturing, components and MRO activities. Through the Malaysia Aerospace Industry Blueprint, we aim to achieve RM55 billion by 2030, and we are on the right trajectory to reach this target.
Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry calls upon young Malaysians who are interested in the aerospace industry to pursue careers in this promising and high-value sector 💪🏻
Hospital Shah Alam, Hospital Tanjong Karang, Hospital Cyberjaya. The first two was to reduce capacity in HTAR in Klang.
Later this year, Hospital Kapar is scheduled to be completed with a capacity of 312 beds, further reducing wait times for patients at HTAR in Klang
Saya agak bimbang melihat sebahagian respon-respon politik hasil lawatan saya di projek Loji Rawatan Air (LRA) Kedah tempoh hari.
Kita terlampau banyak berpolitik sampaikan soal keperluan paling asas seperti air pun kita tak pandang serius.
Ini dah tahun 2026, bukan tahun 70-an.
Kita masih lagi bergelut soal keperluan asas air ?
Sepatutnya kita fokus siapkan once for all, dan move on fokus kepada perkara-perkara lain untuk bangunkan negara.
Jangan kalih isu.
