I had coffee with Superintendent Mary Templeton this morning and she delivered my master teacher apple that the administration gifts board members at the end of a term. Last year was so hairy that it didn’t happen in person. 1/2
Please watch this. This is the world we have been trying to leave behind for the past fifty years, and it is the world the radical right wants to bring back. Think of all the smart voices that will be silenced in favor of smug white male fools if we allow this to happen. #BTDT
Absolutely not.
If Republicans are going to run the House in a partisan way, they’re not going to get bipartisan support for their Speaker.
If they want to talk about a stable, bipartisan governing arrangement, I’m here to work with them for the good of Southwest Washington.
My timber heritage and work in the trades inform my work for #WA03.
When I'm looking at a bill, I think about how it affects working families, mom and pop shops, or local farms.
Because it's crucial legislation doesn't create extra burdens & respects folks' self-sufficiency.
Three years ago today I watched a mob attack our governor’s residence while another mob attacked our nation’s Capitol. Both were repulsed, but here’s the hard truth - so long as those engaged in insurrection are at large, and running for office, that day’s events are not over.
Common sense initiatives like a "parental rights" initiative that demands things parents already have the right to do in public ed like opt kids out of sex ed, view curriculum, & have a say in the curriculum adoption process? What a waste of time & money. #waleg#waedu#waelex
“It’s gonna be a grudge fight again,” Perez said, referring to the race she won in 2022 by less than 1 percent. Joe Kent, she added, “has not moderated one iota.”
This election will be one of the toughest House races of 2024 — but together we’ll win again.https://t.co/7CK72IMW5m
🇺🇸 There was a time not so long ago when there were, at the very least, half-decent choices for president on both sides of the political ledger. I remember thinking in 2008, that if Barack Obama wasn’t elected I could live with a John McCain presidency.
🇺🇸 I knew for sure McCain would protect our Democracy, because back then, that was the VERY LEAST we expected of a political candidate running for our highest office.
🇺🇸 That officially ended on January 6, 2021, when a repulsive man and his party led an attempted violent overthrow of our government, and tried with all their might to incinerate our votes.
🇺🇸 Don't ever let him (or them) near power again.
@krassenstein@MiddleManEC Also, don’t forget that Trump’s own Department of Homeland Security identified the 2020 election as the most secure in American history.

It's been one year serving as your independent voice in Congress!
As part of my goal to be as accessible as possible, I put together a Year-End Report detailing my bipartisan progress on the issues that matter most to you!

Republicans’ anti-abortion laws are making it dangerous, costly, and impossible in many cases for women to get the reproductive health care they need. This is the dystopian reality Republicans have created—and it's on all of us to keep speaking out and fight back.
@LadyGriz@JimWalshLD19 Yes, I remember. I had to start driving to Portland instead of taking the bus because of that initiative. It cut our bus service in half.
Here are questions I posed to @livfinne of the Washington Policy Center. Apparently the education analyst does not have the answers. What’s “silly” is her allegation that I want to keep poor kids in bad circumstances. She resorted to insults instead of addressing the issues.
