3. ATG Split Squat
As important as it is to be strong through hip flexors in the extreme contracted position (Garhammer Raise) it is equally as important to develop strength in a LENGTHENED position of the hip flexors.
This has also helped many to mitigate low back pain.
While I've been out of the game for quite some time, I'm confident that I have the knowledge to help others get out of pain.
I want to help baseball players get out of pain, throw harder, & ultimately play the game they love for a longer period of time.
That's why I'm here.
Taking what I've learned from @kneesovertoesg & @atgexercise & many others along the way over to a space I feel it's needed most.
A large portion of baseball players are either sidelined by an injury or playing through one in silence.
I'm here to help.
Baseball. It's always been baseball for me.
I loved pitching & everything about it.
So, let's test it.
If I can pick up a baseball after nearly 10 years & throw it 80MPH, I'm all in.
BOOM - got it.
Let the road to 90 begin.
There's been times in the past where I've signed up for endurance races just to test my baseline & see what my training is doing for me.
That's great, except that I don't care so much about endurance races.
So I asked myself, "What can I apply my new skills & abilities to?"
I've been coaching for nearly 3 years now & I love what I do.
However, it dawned on me that I haven't applied my training & new athletic abilities to anything specific.
Just training in the gym to train & be a healthy human.
For the record, there is nothing wrong with that!
Since then, I've been able to help many people get out of pain, become stronger, & improve their overall quality of life.
It's extremely rewarding to help others navigate a problem you once had yourself.
Being in pain is no way to live your life.
I dove deeper into @atgexercise style training & feeling the benefits.
I felt my body changing & getting stronger week by week.
After a few months, I felt amazing.
So amazing that I took up getting my ATG Coaching Certification.
One of the best decisions I've ever made.
I found @kneesovertoesg & started sledding.
Felt a HUGE difference in just a few weeks.
The sled helped to strengthen my legs, which took some pressure off my back.
I felt less pain. A glimmer of hope. I was ALL IN.
Except there was still one problem.
I was still in terrible back pain.
I could barely demo the workout for my clients to do that day.
Imposter syndrome was real.
Why would they listen to me? I'm still in pain.
I had to fix my problem before I could ever help others.
