John Mahama government Borrowed $11.9 billion in its first year 2025

Before the Npp took Office in January 2017, Ghana Public debt stood at $29.2 billion

After 8 full years, the Npp left it at $49.4 billion. That’s an addition of $20.2 billion across two terms.

John Mahama return to power in 2025 and in his first year alone, the debt jumped by $11.9 billion that is $49.4 billion to $61.3 billion.

What’s the Npp added in 8years, Mahama has already added more than half of it in 12 months.
