@officialacebuck Yes !! I think because Esperanto is ~just~ a language. English has culture and can (and has) lead to whitewashing of other cultures + languages. Don’t quite know how to explain my point but, my answer is yes 🥰 what do you think?

Looking through my diary from when I was 12; my dream was to become a singer in a group of other polyglots and we all collectively speak like 50 languages and travel the world and sing in all the languages and bring people together with our music 🥺✨

I don’t quite understand why people hate the random sentences Duo gets you to make/define! I think it’s great!

Learning to (de)construct languages is a huge part in language learning; I think regardless if the sentence is “good” or rather silly, practice is always great! 🥰

Duolingo is useful for developing vocabulary and a having a gamified introduction to a language which can be a bit of fun.

It's evidently not designed for any real in depth study. And that's okay, maybe that's not what you're looking for!

Writing out a 30 day study plan for Tagalog to sink myself properly into this beautiful language and meanwhile learn plenty about the equally-beautiful culture!
