If Dharmendra Pradhan thinks that Sonam Wangchuk being admitted to the hospital will end everything, he is mistaken.

He should have stepped down much earlier, not because of Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike, but because of accountability.

Accountability is not only about the NEET paper leak, but also about one-sided UGC equity regulations and CBSE OSM flaws. Accountability is about the students who lost their lives due to the NEET paper leak. These are his failures, and he should take responsibility for them. He must resign.

Maybe the CJP protest doesn't matter to him, but it matters to many of us when we see the atmosphere that was created in the name of the protest, the statements that were made from the stage, the slogans that were raised, and how a platform was given to people like Arundhati Roy, Prashant Bhushan, Colin Gonsalves, and Nandita Narain.

Had he stepped down much earlier, before the protest or the hunger strike, this situation would not have arisen. He met Sonam Wangchuk in 2023 over the National Education Policy, so what is wrong with having a dialogue and meeting with him now over these concerns?

His resignation is not just about taking responsibility. It would also send a message to the BJP leadership that people remember and accountability matters.

What if Sonam Wangchuk went on another hunger strike, but this time demanding the abolition of the reservation?

Would he get support from celebrities? Would Instagram influencers run campaigns urging the govt to listen to him? Not at all. If anything, he might be physically attacked, and the govt would arrest him for provoking public sentiment and inciting riots. Nobody would call the govt 'oppressive' that time.

Essentially, neither his hunger strike nor his life is what truly matters; only the narrative matters. All of this emotional appeal to rally behind him is not for his sake, but for the sake of the narrative. His supposedly good image among the youth is merely a smokescreen to obscure the agenda driving him forward.

Such kind of support is always transactional. The moment the asset stops serving the ideological goals of the narrative-creators, his moral immunity will be revoked, his 'good image' will be dismantled overnight, and the very same crowd that idolises him would abandon him.

राजस्थान के विश्वविद्यालयों में मराठी भाषा पढ़ाने का निर्णय कई महत्वपूर्ण प्रश्न खड़े करता है। जब वर्षों से राजस्थान की जनता राजस्थानी भाषा को संविधान की आठवीं अनुसूची में शामिल कर उसे संवैधानिक मान्यता दिलाने की मांग कर रही है, तब प्राथमिकता राजस्थानी भाषा के अध्ययन, शोध और संवर्धन सहित संवैधानिक दर्जे की होनी चाहिए थी।

राजस्थान का गौरवशाली इतिहास, समृद्ध लोक साहित्य, लोक संस्कृति और असंख्य ऐतिहासिक ग्रंथ राजस्थानी भाषा में सुरक्षित हैं। यदि विश्वविद्यालयों में राजस्थानी भाषा के अध्ययन एवं शोध केंद्र स्थापित किए जाएँ, तो यह हमारी सांस्कृतिक धरोहर के संरक्षण, संवर्धन और नई पीढ़ी तक उसके प्रभावी हस्तांतरण की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम होगा।

यह स्पष्ट करना भी आवश्यक है कि हमारा किसी भी भाषा के प्रति न तो विरोध है और न ही कोई पूर्वाग्रह। मराठी सहित भारत की सभी भाषाएँ समान रूप से सम्मान की पात्र हैं। किंतु राजस्थान में अपनी मातृभाषा की उपेक्षा कर किसी अन्य भाषा को प्राथमिकता देना उचित प्रतीत नहीं होता।

राजस्थान के जनप्रतिनिधियों, शिक्षाविदों और नीति-निर्माताओं को इस गंभीर विषय पर प्रदेश की भावनाओं के अनुरूप आवाज़ उठानी चाहिए, ताकि राजस्थानी भाषा को उसका उचित सम्मान और संस्थागत स्थान मिल सके।

राजस्थान में मराठी भाषा के अध्ययन केंद्र खोलने का निर्णय लिया गया है। यह स्वागतयोग्य है। भारत की हर भाषा हमारी साझा सांस्कृतिक धरोहर है और हमारे युवाओं को हर भारतीय भाषा सीखने का अवसर मिलना चाहिए।

लेकिन एक सवाल आज पूरे राजस्थान की आत्मा पूछ रही है, क्या अपनी ही मातृभाषा को सम्मान दिए बिना दूसरी भाषाओं के संवर्धन की बात न्यायसंगत है?

जिस राजस्थान ने डिंगल, पिंगल और समृद्ध लोक साहित्य को जन्म दिया, उसी राजस्थान की अपनी राजस्थानी भाषा आज भी अपने अधिकार और सम्मान की प्रतीक्षा कर रही है।

इसी भावना से मैंने पिछले विधानसभा सत्र में संविधान के अनुच्छेद 345 के तहत राजस्थानी भाषा को राजस्थान की राजभाषा का दर्जा देने के लिए प्राइवेट मेम्बर बिल प्रस्तुत किया था। दुर्भाग्य से वह पिछले छह महीनों से लीगल सेल में लंबित है।

मैं स्पष्ट कर देना चाहता हूँ कि हम सभी संस्कृतियों का सम्मान करते है और हर भारतीय भाषा का सम्मान करते हैं, लेकिन अपनी मातृभाषा की उपेक्षा स्वीकार नहीं कर सकते।

राजस्थान की जनता अब बहाने नहीं, निर्णय चाहती है। राजस्थानी भाषा को उसका सम्मान मिलना ही चाहिए।
