@vijaygoel@mparish243 Very interesting point. I think it’s important not to conflate the 2 issues, because they have different implications & solutions, but I agree that there is an important role for the scientific community to call out both types of misinformation.
@vijaygoel@mparish243 I agree that data transparency is crucial, but I think it's important to differentiate between legitimate peer-reviewed research that’s misleadingly reported, and outright junk-science. We should call out both, but when the latter gains credence, this is arguably more dangerous.
