Battery life on my iPhone 17 Pro Max has been abysmally bad since updating to iOS 26.5.1. Easily half of what I usually get with the same usage.
Anyone else seeing this? Nothing jumps out as high usage in Settings > Battery.
My top 5 are:
1) Safari: 1 hour 9 minutes on screen
2) YouTube: 1 hour on screen
3) X: 1 hour 15 minutes on screen
4) Oura: 5 minutes on screen
5) Messages: 19 minutes on screen
I’ve charged my phone twice today. Once at 34% and again at 55%. I normally go all day and have ~70% remaining.
Already restarted my phone, but still seeing the same drain without anything obvious using it up.
You get down to the specifics of the Kennedy Street situation and George did a lot of talk about social services that didn’t accomplish anything, and then eventually an inter-agency task force arrested the violent drug crew responsible and they solved the problem.
She’s running on the “Hopes and Dreams” ticket and unfortunately her supporters are not interested in accountability otherwise they’d never be able to support someone with such unrealistic campaign promises. All politicians lie, but they usually do it better.
Who is going to build all of this housing in the environment she is going to create? Doesn’t make any sense.
Janeese is a massive flip flopper that got as far as she did by saying things people want to hear, not doing things people want done. If the flavor of the month were “no more housing” she’d be spewing that from the soapbox tomorrow. Guaranteed.
This is why I'm not ranking Janeese. I don't think you can be a YIMBY while also endorsing every pet issue from tenant rights activists, unions, and environmental groups. Nothing will get built.
This just ends up being NIMBYism with a paint job. https://t.co/P45QUrGNVR
@ShawnChittle I’m usually the only one that pays when I ride the D44, even when the bus is full and lots of people cycling off/on at each stop. Can easily go from Fort Totten to downtown and not see a single fare paid.
Federal attorneys in the bribery case of D.C. Councilmember Trayon White claimed the Ward 8 representative took two trips to the Dominican Republic that were paid for by a campaign contributor.

Janeese Lewis George wants to “leverage” money that's supposed to be off limits for risky investments, the Editorial Board writes. https://t.co/vxfhzV26Kc

I can’t believe they posted this picture. And which poor staffer did she make turn over a couple of trash cans for this shot?
