Barnabas reminds us of the power of encouragement and the beauty of seeing the good in others.
When others were hesitant to accept Saul, Barnabas stood by him and helped others see beyond his past to the person he was becoming. His life reflected a generous heart—someone willing to lift others, believe in them and create room for them to grow.
Scripture describes him as “a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith.” (Acts 11:24)
May we also be people who encourage rather than discourage, who see potential where others see limitations, and who use our words and actions to bring out the best in others.
Sometimes, all someone needs is for one person to believe in them.
We should be beating Republicans by double digits right now. Instead we're debating whether it's okay to call our own leaders slurs.
My new rant is live.
