The reason our current president is usually orange, almost blistered and agitated from taking tons of antihistamines, is obviously because he’s allergic to reality. Too bad his doctor’s aren’t tuned in.
If I’d ever be insane enough to run for office, my platform would be on unifying all world governments like we did on ISS, but in preparation/coordination for a Superflare/CME event. It’s not a matter of “if”. When it happens we won’t be ready and it will suck.
@mcuban Idiot framing. Students don’t “take out taxpayer money to party” they sign up for debt so colleges get paid. The real scandal is defending a system where education is financed, homeownership is subsidized, but getting sick can bankrupt you. Sharks are dumber than dolphins.
@elonmusk How is that different than “creationism” /inteliigent design 2.0? replace “God” with Type 3 civ engineers? Singularitarianism and simulation hypothesis are the new religions for the techno materialist masses. Belief is a helluva drug. Your sycophants are failing you.
Modern games/XR chose the wrong foundation for physical sound. We optimized for sample playback, trigger boxes and raycasts instead of modeling how sound actually moves through space and matter. A.I. isn’t tackling those problems either. “Good Enough” is what we get I guess.
If you haven’t figured out that Google won the “AI Race” with its dataset, u slow. Maybe I’m biased because I’m riding home in a Waymo One from a jam right now, but ask ur self about “just Google it” in the last 20 YEARS…Theres no broader dataset than Google and YT.
I would love to make a new global law that would require anyone who wants to become a politician to go through a personalized Task Based FMRI empathy test and have the results posted publicly for A.I. analysis/ public viewing etc.
@EpicCog Here I was thinking eugenics was only selective breeding based on genetics. Filtering psychopathy through neuroscience on the other hand (to better inform my vote) would be useful I think.
In a society where forgiveness, compassion, empathy, and generosity are seen as weaknesses, it’s best to cultivate them in secret—like contraband virtues. Quietly offer kindness, build underground networks of care, and become a silent architect of a better world.
Quick tip for healthcare investors/analysts: Lower your “expectations” to curb “heads will roll” copycat violence. The U.S. healthcare system could use a dose of humility—it’s strange enough profiting from illness.
