@MohsenS97@HothaAli You are delusional. If Norway was in the Middle East it would be like Israel except better because they wouldn have the arabs and mizrahim dragging them down
Iran talking about Saudi “wasting oil wealth” is comedy.
You had almost as much oil, way more gas, actual rivers, and land you can farm.
Saudi had sand and desalination plants. They built a country people move to.
You built one people leave. That’s not pathetic. That’s you
for anyone wondering:
I meant it gets roughly 10 times the profit. The table lists revenues. Of course Saudi oil is more profitable, thats why you see the delta in numbers mentioned in my post and in the lists
Per Saudi citizen actually eligible for the welfare state, Saudi Arabia gets roughly 10× Canada’s oil-and-gas revenue per capita. The only non-retarded country in this list which is doing slightly better in terms of revenues is Norway. — a country competent enough not to(1/3)
i am not adressing the 10x claim because it is besides the point and my point would still stand with the 3x number. I used revenue in the table because it is easier to find those numbers, but of course saudis oil is more profitable, so we have to look at the profits, I accidentally said 10x the revenue.
but lets look at the numbers:
"In 2024, government oil revenue was ~$202bn — roughly $10,000 per Saudi citizen.
Canada’s entire oil & gas sector generated $116bn CAD in taxes + royalties over 2022–24 — roughly $950 CAD (~$700 USD) per Canadian per year.
cbefore considering Aramco profits retained by the Saudi state."
Sources: Saudi Ministry of Finance; CAPP
now lets look at the profit:
Saudi Aramco net income, after tax: US$106.2bn. Saudi citizens: ~19.6m. → ~$5,418 per Saudi citizen Entire Canadian oil & gas extraction industry, income before tax: Q1 C$8.619bn + Q2 C$7.779bn + Q3 C$8.471bn + Q4 C$8.867bn = C$33.736bn. At the Bank of Canada’s 2024 average exchange rate, that's ~US$24.63bn. Canada population: 41.29m. → ~$596 per Canadian Ratio: 9.1×
(I can send sources if you want)
so ok if we go by profit, but for 2024 it is 9.1 times, I rounded up so the list I posted is much worse if we look at profit, anyway can we move to the other points?

They lecture us about “democracy” while their oil wealth is extracted, exported, and paid out to shareholders.
Canada has oil, yet Canadians still can’t afford life with their extreme taxation.
Saudi Arabia has oil, yet no income tax, free healthcare and education, and a low cost of living.
Canada handed the oil to capitalists. Saudi Arabia kept it and spent it on the people.
May God protect the House of Saud. 🇸🇦
and the nature papers you mentioned? yeah another effort by Saudi Arabia to get attention, like when they pay Ronaldo loads of money to play in the Saudi league. None are saudis, and you can look up the other 6 flagship saudi Nature papers. NONE are saudi. It is like saying Saudi Arabia improved in football because Ronaldo is playing there

you still don't understand it.
This list actually underestimated the saudi oil/Gas revenues, moreover in the case of Saudi Arabia, the citizens are the ones benefitting from revenue. that is why it matters. Further Canada still has a higher gdp per capita than Saudi Arabia.
another point I can mention quickly. Look up the nature papers, look up any paper in math or stem and find a saudi scientist.
even the arabic names such as Mohamed Jleli, are of Tunisian origin. Significant papers in AI (my field) are under the supervision of guys like Professor Schmidhuber (German). This is what I mean by outsourcing. Yeah these guys are impressive, but none of them are saudis. They are just financed by oil money. thats all. I tried finding saudi scientists of significance, I found like 4 in the US.
