It was wonderful to meet the Yuva Urja of India’s space sector…young entrepreneurs and innovators who have shown remarkable courage by entering a new and demanding domain. They have taken risks, trusted the reform process and remained consistent in their efforts. Due to this, India has achieved a lot in the space sector in the last few years.

The StartUps made insightful presentations on their work. They also appreciated the space reforms of the Government and how it encouraged them to grow further in this sector.

I assured the space StartUps that Government of India will continue to stand with them as they build India’s capabilities for the future. India can offer the world a strong, innovative and commercially viable model in the space sector.

Very happy to perform Bhumi Pujan and lay the Foundation Stone of the expansion project of IOML Bunkering facility with Indian High Commissioner Anurag Shrivastava Ji and IOCL Arvinder Sahney Ji.

Mauritius is strategically located on a major shipping route. It aims to attract approximately 6,000 vessels annually, against the present average of 2,200 vessels, with a potential bunker-fuel market of 2-3 MMTPA.
IndianOil Mauritius is an active player in the bunkering business, supplying both Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil and Marine Gas Oil. It now aims to increase its bunkering volume to more than 400 TKL by FY 2029-30, with an investment of approximately USD 25 million.
The proposed infrastructure comprises five storage tanks designed in accordance with API 650 and conforming to NFPA 30 standards, pipeline connectivity to the existing IOML Terminal, and shared utilities and operational facilities with the existing terminal.

Dr. Arvin Boolell, Minister of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy and Fisheries; my friend Amb. Somduth Soburun, former PR of Mauritius to the UN in New York and Ambassador in Washington and several prominent citizens of Mauritius.

India and Mauritius share a deep and enduring bond, rooted in our shared history, mutual trust, common values and a shared commitment to prosperity and people-centric development. This special relationship between our peoples continues to flourish under the leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji.

Our partnership reflects the convergence of India’s Neighbourhood First policy, Vision MAHASAGAR and our shared commitment to the Global South. इससे दूरदराज़ क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले नागरिकों को अपने कानूनी अधिकारों के लिए लंबी दूरी तय करने की आवश्यकता कम होगी और न्यायिक सेवाएँ उनके और अधिक करीब पहुँचेंगी।

India and Mauritius share a special and enduring partnership, rooted in our shared history, culture and heritage, and strengthened by deep people-to-people ties.

Our cooperation in energy is emerging as a vital pillar of this partnership. The landmark five-year agreement between IndianOil and Mauritius’ State Trading Corporation will meet Mauritius’ requirements for petrol, diesel and ATF, strengthening energy security and continuity of supplies and has emerged out of the discussions between the two prime ministers last year.

India’s commitment extends beyond assured energy supplies. IndianOil (Mauritius) Limited’s growing presence, including a USD 25 million investment to develop additional bunker-fuel storage at Mer Rouge, will further strengthen Mauritius as a bunkering hub in the western Indian Ocean.

We are also advancing cooperation on a 450 MW LNG-based CCGT power project and supporting Mauritius’ transition towards biofuels through the Global Biofuels Alliance.
India stands firmly with Mauritius as a trusted partner in securing affordable, reliable and sustainable energy for its people and its future.

Under the visionary leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji and Mauritius PM Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam Ji, India and Mauritius are strengthening cooperation in the energy sector.

Delighted to sign a landmark Government-to-Government MoU on oil & gas cooperation with Hon’ble Minister of Commerce and Consumer Protection of Mauritius, Sh. John Michaël Tzoun Sao Yeung Sik Yuen, alongside a 5-year agreement between @IndianOilcl and the State Trading Corporation of Mauritius for the assured supply of petroleum products to Mauritius.

The agreement will meet Mauritius’ requirements of petrol, diesel, marine gas oil and Aviation Turbine Fuel - providing long-term supply certainty, greater price stability and enhanced energy security, while supporting the nation’s mobility, connectivity and economic growth.

Building on an energy partnership that goes back to 2001, when IndianOil began serving Mauritius through IndianOil Mauritius Limited, this milestone reflects India’s reliability and commitment as a trusted energy partner.
