@fruitlvr_ Don’t forget these things are the letter of the law- normal couples live, or should, with mutual cooperation, love, understanding, not everyone demanding their rights by law everyday, compromise and flexibility from both parties makes it work
@fruitlvr_ With respect to spiritual “coercion”, it’s no different to any rule e.g not praying, taking interest etc, there is a spiritual accountability for doing that- human beings need accountability and a reward/punishment structure.. no different to normal secular law and police

@chrisphew@Ibrahim_S_Amin There is no restriction on translating and indeed the Quran exists in literally every single language in every country, you can read it, study it etc in ur own language…but for spiritual use it’s purely in Arabic
@chrisphew@Ibrahim_S_Amin it’s a unifying and preserving factor, everyone recites in Arabic…Islam is across the globe you walk into a mosque from the corner of Indonesia to NYC and the greeting, prayer and book the exact same..Imagine koreans doing in korean, english in english, germans in german- messy
@Sabirbinsaid@winnie4prez If I’m honest it’s more the implication of the statement which is worrisome and deeply problematic Islamically from a blasphemy perspective- Genuine, sincere brotherly advice btw not intended as an insult or sleight
