We count and mourn more than 60,620 deaths as a result of the EU border regime since 1993. Frontex is a protagonist in the war against people on the ove and a symbol of its certain failure.

Here we stand facing the Binnenhof, the central political place of the Dutch state. This is the place where, with the current racist far-right government, support for Frontex continues unabated. That is why we've send a clear message:
Abolish Frontex!
Stop the war on migrants!

from their borders, so called pushbacks, it actively participates in them. Frontex has been repeatedly accused and found guilty of violating fundamental rights. After 20 years, Frontex can boast of being the most dangerous agency for non-European citizens.

Far beyond its original coordinating mission, Frontex enforces the security-driven, xenophobic and anti-immigration approach now adopted by most EU member states and third countries. When it is not busy covering up illegal actions by European governments to push refugees back

states' coast and border guards. In two decades, Frontex has become the agency with the largest budget (859 million euros in 2024) and the only EU institution with armed personnel. Its mandate continues to expand geographically and legally, with no real democratic oversight.
