Being right years ahead of others isn’t nearly as satisfying as people think. Nobody apologizes for treating you like a crazy. They just come back years later, repeating what you told them as if it’s some groundbreaking revelation because they finally heard it from someone else.
Reminds me how I recently told a lefty friend about being incapacitated by long Covid & feeling abandoned by society
They started lecturing me:
“No, you shouldn’t say you’ve been abandoned by society, you’ve been abandoned by the GOVERNMENT”
I’ve met a staggering number of adult professionals with long COVID who’ve had to uproot and move in with family just to make ends meet. Others don’t even have that option.
This disease is massively disabling and decimating our workforce. We need solutions, not denial.

It still amazes me how I was labeled a hypochondriac by doctors and psychiatrists, only to develop actual heart failure and vascular disease years later.
Now, those very same doctors tell me nothing can be done anymore, and the psychiatrist barely even apologized.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, children are an oppressed class across all demographics
They’re treated like property by their parents, the adults around them and even the law
Most of Trey and Matt's takes boil down to "bad things are bad but people who hate bad things are annoying; being annoying and being evil are equally unacceptable."

“.. Anthropic’s compute bill has nearly quintupled in a year, and its financing costs are climbing as free partner money gives way to paid leases. Building frontier AI is getting more expensive on both fronts.”
