This was one of our happiest episodes of @therosebudpod - the most open, honest & revealing interview Penny Keith ever gave. She was such a special lady - a wonderful actress, a real friend, so funny, so generous with the time she gave to good causes. Hers was indeed a good life.
Margo Leadbetter was snobbish, humourless and entitled, & Penelope Keith managed to make her into one of the most adored (and oddly vulnerable) characters ever seen on a sitcom. She delivered every line as if it were a jewelled crown on a velvet cushion. An utter genius.
About to watch the World Cup in the pub when a fella said to me ‘I bet you can’t name 3 Qatar players’
I replied - George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton

The Andrew Neil Report. First Edition!
I start by laying out my stall in terms of what I hope this podcast will achieve — a global perspective on politics, geopolitics and economics placing events in the context of worldwide trends.
My first guest is Andrew Ross Sorkin, author of books on the Crashes of 1929 and 2008 (that one turned into The Big Short movie). We look at what happened then to see how close we are to another (AI-inspired?) Crash today.
