Stephen Letoo of Citizen TV has revealed that, according to evidence provided by the DCI, the boda boda rider, Kevin Kinuthia, who carried the gunman, and the driver of the Prado, Daniel Njoroge, who blocked Dr. Victoria Mutiso’s Uber vehicle, were all in communication with Rigathi Gachagua.
A Letter to the People by Eric Kigara,
Political Communication Analyst,
Strip away the diplomatic language and here is what Karua, Muturi, Munya, and Kivuti actually want from Gachagua. They want him to tour Mt Kenya, fill their rallies, lend them his crowd pull, then hand the microphone back so the votes he generated land in PLP, DP, PNU, and Jubilee instead of DCP. Popularity by proxy. Sweat equity they did not put in.
Munya’s ask is the clearest example. He wants Gachagua to zone Meru for him, clear the field, hand him the governorship. But DCP already has a candidate in that race, Linturi, the party’s own national organising secretary, declared and campaigning. Munya is not asking Gachagua for a favour. He is asking Gachagua to sabotage his own party from the inside to make room for someone else’s. The same math applies in Embu and Kirinyaga, DCP has people on the ground there too. Zoning is not a neutral request. It is asking Gachagua to disarm himself county by county while everyone else keeps their weapons loaded.
Here is the uncomfortable truth those party leaders will not say out loud. Gachagua did not inherit Mt Kenya’s attention. He earned it, Ol Kalou, the Infotrak numbers, the tour that kept filling churches and grounds while their own parties stayed quiet. DCP polling at 33 percent in Central against UDA’s 9 and ODM’s 6 did not happen because Gachagua asked nicely. It happened because he showed up and they did not.
My message to the so called party leaders is simple. Popularise your own parties. Give Mt Kenya people an actual reason to join PLP, DP, PNU, or Jubilee beyond your name on the letterhead. Gachagua is not blocking you from doing that. He is just the only one currently doing it.
I was watching Parliament earlier. John Kiarie, Kipchumba and even Ichung’wah, were actually pushing for the person who posted that Nairobi OCS list to be arrested.❗️
Arrested. Over a list.
Kiarie even appeared to indicate that the government should come down hard on anyone saying things that don’t sit well with them.
Bro… what happened to common sense?
If the list is wrong, just post the correct one. Let us count. Let us see the numbers for ourselves. How hard is that?
Instead of clarifying, the first instinct is, "DCI should arrest them."
Always arrest. Always threaten. Always silence.
We’re tired of this. You can’t keep abducting or intimidating Kenyans every time someone points out something uncomfortable.
Just drop the real list. We’ll compare the percentages ourselves. Simple.
And Kiarie… that man should not be re-elected. He’s become a full-time nuisance in my opinion.
This Kalenjin gave Kikuyus in Nandi a deadline of upto 8th for them to go back to Murima otherwise they would finish them. But the @DCI_Kenya only sees those in opposition
H E Rigathi Gachagua is single handedly holding delegations at Wamunyoro and conducting meet the people tours daily from 6am to 6pm. If the pecking order and precedent of leadership in the Opposition are to be shared equally, then let others who make that claim demonstrate the equal burden they bear in mobilizing voters and shaping public opinion.
Because we are ethic/religious Minority, because we are marginalised, because we are poor, because we are uneducated, because our regions are marginalised, because our regions have poor infrastructure...and because we are MUSLIMS...we are with H.E WILLIAM RUTO 100%.
I don’t like Gachagua but he ain’t lying. The President has been to my home constituency so many times, calling us Kapkugo and after that no developments go there. Empty promises tu and sadly my people still worship him religiously.
The Ol Kalou by-election has answered many questions.
It has shown that the IEBC is ready to conduct the 2027 General Election.
It has also proved that Kenyans will have a free, fair and peaceful election. Anyone who doubted the Commission's ability to deliver a credible election has now seen that it is possible.
The people voted, the process was peaceful, and democracy prevailed.
Gachagua has won one election at home in Ol Kalau after losing 25 elections across Kenya and they are making noise like they have won FIFA World Cup!

Yvonne: I don’t think anyone feels safe with the goon culture that we have in the country. If you are in Westlands on General Mathenge, you are vulnerable; if you are in a church at All Saints, you are vulnerable; if you are at a polling station, you are vulnerable. Goons are everywhere, it does not matter where you are or your class in society #CitizenNewsGang @YvonneOkwara

Shocking Case in India: Public Punishment of the Perpetrators
In Sri Ganganagar, a 13-year-old schoolgirl was abducted, sold to hotel owners, and gang-raped by up to 32 men in groups over the course of five days. The perpetrators held her captive in several hotels, forced her to drink alcohol, and abused her daily in groups of up to six men. The minor survived the horror. Following a police raid, she was freed alive.
Outraged residents took matters into their own hands: They captured several perpetrators (at least 18 individuals), tied them together with ropes, and paraded them publicly through the streets—a clear form of public punishment and shaming. They then handed the bound men over to the police.
The authorities in Rajasthan responded with an iron fist: They ordered the demolition of all four hotels involved. The case has sparked nationwide outrage, not only due to the unimaginable brutality toward a child, but also because of the failure of the child protection system.
