3 years ago, 7-year-old Suresh Mandi, a Bengali Hindu child from Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, was diagnosed with blood cancer.
Since then, life has changed completely.
To save their son, the family shifted to Bhubaneswar for treatment and gradually lost everything they had. Today, they live in a slum and struggle to survive.
Despite his own hardships, Suresh’s father works as a driver transporting cancer patients at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, helping others fight the same disease while desperately trying to save his own child.
Recent reports showing MRD <0.01% have brought hope, but the financial burden has devastated the family. One of their biggest problems is that Suresh currently does not have access to proper health card benefits, making treatment and medicines extremely difficult to afford.
No 7-year-old should have to fight cancer and poverty at the same time.
I appeal to the Government of West Bengal @SuvenduWB@DilipGhoshBJP , especially the concerned authorities, NGOs, charitable trusts, and compassionate individuals to kindly help the family secure a health card and medical assistance, along with financial support.
📍Originally from Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal
📍Currently staying in Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Please amplify. A small act of kindness can save a child’s life. 🙏❤️
Help him get a health card. Help him continue his fight against cancer.

#WATCH | Murshidabad, West Bengal: Police recovered a huge quantity of arms & ammunition from the house of the associate of a TMC leader. A woman, Tuku Sarkar has been arrested in Berhampore, Saidabad, Girjapara. Two other suspects - Papai Ghosh and his associate Ashim Sarkar are absconding. Police recovered a total of 140 rounds of ammunition, 3 numbers of 7.65 mm revolvers and a magazine.
During the oath ceremony of @SuvenduWB on the stage, PM @narendramodi took blessings of Shri Makhanlal Sarkar, one of the most senior workers of BJP in West Bengal.
At the age of 98, Shri Makhanlal Sarkar remains one of the early grassroots figures associated with the nationalist movement in post-Independence India.
In 1952, he was arrested in Kashmir while accompanying Syama Prasad Mukherjee during the movement to hoist the Indian tricolour there.
After the formation of the BJP in 1980, he became the organisational coordinator for West Dinajpur, Jalpaiguri, and Darjeeling districts. Within just one year, he helped enroll nearly 10,000 members.
From 1981 onward, he served continuously for seven years as district president, an exceptional achievement at a time when BJP leaders generally could not remain in the same organisational position for more than two years.
We usually begin this on Pana Sankranti, but due to the scorching heatwave, started earlier our family’s annual practice of keeping cool water, plain and with dahi, outside our gate for passersby. A tradition followed in our family for generations. In this heat, even a small gesture can offer some relief. Stay hydrated and take care 🙏

#WATCH | Washington DC | On #OperationSindoor, Michael Rubin, former Pentagon official and a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, says "Pakistan started the conflict with its support for terrorism. Indians were the victims of terrorism. While I was initially critical that Prime Minister Modi had taken so long to respond, but it's clear that the Indian military was carefully planning and the Indian military has shown itself to be far more capable. Pakistan is thrashing about, looking for a way to save face. But Asim Munir should understand that the first rule of hole digging is when you're in a hole, stop digging...Looking forward, there can only be one metric by which we look at the diplomatic solution to this issue. Pakistan has to be designated by the United States to be a state sponsor of terror..."
No nation should have to accept terrorist attacks being launched against it from land controlled by another country.
India is justified in striking terrorist infrastructure. There can be no impunity for terrorists.
War has been chosen by Pakistan when they had an opportunity to keep quiet.
They have escalated to save it’s terrorist assets, speaks so much about them.
Our forces will reply in the most appropriate manner, a manner Pakistan will never forget.
India's economy is set to grow, and so is the stock market. The significant increase in Demat accounts indicates that investors are confident in both the Indian economy and the stock market.
This afternoon, I will also be addressing a programme organised by @BJP4Odisha in Bhubaneswar. Since assuming office in June this year, the BJP Government in Odisha has been at the forefront of boosting the state’s growth trajectory. The state government is taking many measures to improve the lives of the poor and marginalised communities.
