A Nigerian Air Force ATR 42 Maritime Patrol Aircraft has crashed in Igbokoda, Ondo State, today, October 5, 2026.

The aircraft was conducting a routine mission from Benin to Lagos when the crash occurred. Search and rescue operations involving multiple agencies are currently underway.

About 25 passengers and seven crew members were onboard the aircraft.
